I'm back again with my second shot at a jellyfish mob. It has two sets of tentacles, one of which I've already animated. The other set, I'm having issues with. I just want to have the arms (with 4 joints each) wave horizontally back and forth, but not in sync. Whenever I make the animation for one and change the starting angle so they wave in the right plane, the animation never looks the same for the other arms even if I don't try to make them out of sync like I want.

Additionally, because I copied one tentacle and rotated it around the center to make the other 3, it never comes out quite right even though just swapping X and Y axis and positive/negative suggests it should.

what does it look like if you don't swap the axes

so when you swap the axes you experience a problem?

It doesn't move by the same amount even if I have the same angles

so what's it look like when you've got it all applied then

Alright, switched X and Y and it seems to be the same now.

The animation is really simple. It's just 5 keyframes where the first bone starts at 0, goes to 5 Y rotation, goes back to 0, goes to -5 Y, then back to 0 for the end keyframe to loop back to the beginning, then each other bone in the tentacle starts one keyframe later (I copy all the keyframes, paste them into the next bone, then shift them all to the left by one, delete the extra, and copy whatever's at the end to the beginning so it loops again)

i just wanted to see you share what it looks like vs. what you want it to look like and highlight how it isn't working right for someone who knows more about animations. but if you got the keyframes working now that's good,
