Progress on my skin is lost; backups don't work | Blockbench | Page 1

discord deleted my post twice now

Like I said, I've been working on a skin but it seems like most of my progress was erased. I was experimenting with some designs and got to a version i really liked, which I then saved as a separate file.

I then went back to an older version to compare the two. However now any version of the skin just reverts to this older skin, even the backups under help>backups all seem to go to the same old version.

Irritatingly under "recent" the image still shows the newer version, but opening it leads back to the older version.

Is all progress past this point just gone? I can't seem to find a way to recover it.

(sorry for bad image quality they should still be clear enough hopefully)

Is the texture saved separately? Maybe the model is still loading it from the actual texture file then instead of from the bbmodel data

I don't think so; I've saved the texture separately now but before i only had the bbmodel files
