i saw a couple tutorials for making brick/cobble like textures by making 3x3 rectangles behind the model and making them tile but i cant get a similar result while trying to do it for sand. the noise brush wouldve been perfect for this but that got removed didnt it

damn i thought i remembered one

so the closest thing i got to a noise brush was using the brush color randomizer plugin, size 1, opacity 255 and softness 100 and then cranking the living hell out my mouse's sensitivity and start randomly drawing lines and shapes

#

now to see how this looks ingame

#

hmm need to make it have some depth variation

#

or well look like it anyway

Having the kind of noise that Blockbench (in the past) or a color randomizer plugin offer, wil never look good.
Not even the sand in Minecraft was made using noise.

all it does was like add or subtract 10% from the brightness

#

couldve done it manually but eh

"shortcuts" do rarely work to make good textures.
