Virus ?

Hello everyone,

I recently downloaded Blockbench, but when I ran a security scan with VirusTotal, it reported that it contained a Trojan. I would like to clarify if this is a false alarm or if there are any security issues with the current download.

Could the Blockbench development team provide information on this? I want to ensure that the software is safe to use.

Virus total uses a lot of anti-viruses, including many really unknown and not so reputable ones. Having only 1 random one detecting it is going to mean it's a false positive (and is perfectly safe)

it MIGHT be unsafe when many are detecting it, but even then it just depends on the nature of the file. But yes, blockbench is perfectly safe

Yeah, Windows Defender liked to complain about Blockbench too before it got a software license (or whatever the proper term is).
Very likely a false positive
