#Texture loses quality on export

It's not because the texture loses quality on export, it's because Blender, by default, stretches textures in a way that look blurry for pixel art.
You need to find the texture scaling option (or whatever it's called) and set it to nearest-neightbor, bit or similar (different programs like to call it different things unfortunately).
Oh thanks, I assumed it was an export problem do to the same problem happening when viewing the .obj with Window's 3D app thingy
yeah, most model viewers will default to texture scaling that works well for larger textures
The Windows 3D App is unfortunately so poorly made that it doesn't even have any option to change the texture scaling.

I recommend exporting as glTF, that works out of the box. OBJ doesn't have much support for texture options.
