Hey I have a model, that has two textures, and it works when I place it down but in the inventory and hand, it has the purple-black square texture, how would I go about fixing this?

So it's a block, right?
Blocks can have separate block and item models, so that sounds like your item model has an error with its texture.
Could you open the item .json model in a text editor and show the first ~10 lines?
