Pixels are too defrent in shades, get a brown color on your brush and drop the opacity down to around 23, brush everything and it's gonna look smoother !

I disagree, it generally doesn’t look good when the shading is too smooth of a gradient
making some parts darker adds more depth and can define the shape it represents
in this case the darker fur (idk what to call it) looks rough with the variety and if that’s what they’re going for I think it’s great
