watch the custom pivot points part of the cem tutorial
This tutorial shows you everything you need to know about OptiFine Custom Entity Models.

I've changed the pivot points, what I mean is more like changing the point where it actually rotates from if that makes sense? Since I like the leg placement
Is there a seperate way to do animations that are more complex like that or is it just something in addition to this?
you change that with pivot points
what do you specifically mean? I've rewatched the video multiple times
also do you mean the moving pivot points section of the video or is there a different one I'm not seeing
let me rephrase my original response I've moved* the pivot points
i can see you havent as you are animating the top level folders, and your legs are not inside the body folder
Sorry I'm not understanding
you need to move your legs into the body folder, and then animate them there
you're meant to animate what you changed for your own pivot point, not the folder that has the unchanged pivot
for example:
in bone3 you have your own pivot point, where you want the animation to play in, however instead of animating that, you instead went back to front_left_leg which is not where you want the pivot point to be or animate from
but even that wont work, as you havent moved the legs into the body
that too yeah
follow the tutorial from the copying vanilla animations section, as that is what you need to do
Okay thank you I'll move the legs in the body folder and use bone3 instead of front left leg
I'll do that too ^^ ty
