#BlockBench exports blocks as entities

For reasons I do not understand, all Bedrock Blocks become entities during export. I added material instances to each block face, tried to convert it a bunch of times: at first it becomes a block, but as soon as I save it as Bedrock Geometry and close the model, it becomes an entity when I reopen it. What is this?

p.s. Answer me with a ping, please

Isn't that a problem that can't be solved?

@junior wasp Like a lot people here, I do not make custom blocks, so no one could answer you with confidence I guess.

I'm not an expert, but I tested it, and it appears there is no technical difference between entity and block geometry files. So with nothing to specify which it is, Blockbench is going to assume the most common format used when you open it: entities.

But, if you've placed the model in the blocks folder of your resource pack (resource pack > models > blocks), it seems like it gets detected and opens the model as a bedrock block.
So that's one way to do it. If you used the Plugin Minecraft Block Wizard, it should have placed the model in this folder.
