Model not working at all in-game

I have tried to create a model by replacing the netherite sword but the model does not appear.

I fixed the issue (sorta). I deleted the rename item thing (the one that makes it so that you rename the item and the model changes)
for some reason that wasn't working. I'm not sure how to make it so it works.

So the model isnt displaying? Its just the normal netherite sword? Also to be sure youre trying to change the model of the netherite sword right?

Yeah, It's supposed to change the netherite sword model when you rename the sword. Though that didn't work.

Oh I dont know how to do that but I do know how to replace it (without the renaming thing)

It does work now though fortunately. Removing the rename thing allowed to replace the default netherite sword.
Not sure why the renaming thing doesn't work however.
