it is only black and pink ingame
can have several reasons.
You could be in 1.12 or earlier
You could have loaded the texture from an invalid location (outside of a pack for example).
Your texture could have an invalid names.
You have mode the texture after importing it into Blockbench.
etc.

The output log will show you errors related to resource packs in Minecraft: Java Edition. Here is how you can enable it: https://i.imgur.com/WbQZa6k.png
(PS: Optifine likes to hide vanilla errors/warnings for some weird reason, so always load the game up without it if you don't need it for your pack to work!)
Alright, it send me this error: Unable to load model: 'minecraft:magenta_carpet#inventory' referenced from: minecraft:magenta_carpet#inventory: com.google.gson.JsonParseException: Pictures/Screenshots/Screenshot (78) is not valid resource location
then it's a matter of

The texture is not from a texturepack, is there anyway i can do that
"workaround that"
resource packs can ONLY work with stuff that is in the resource pack (or other equipped resource packs) and nothing else.
I tried to replace the PNG Item texture from an apple in another pack and used it that, but then it was just a huge 2D apple. Anything i missed to do?
I even deleted the Apple.PNg file completely and then set the new Apple.png file (The Image) in the pack and used it, but its still an apple. (And its shown as the Image in Blockbench.) What am i missing?
I never said you have to replace default textures
ofc if you overwrite the apple texture your apple will look like the image
And what do i have to that blockbench uses this new image instead of the old apple?
rightclick the texture you are currently using in BB -> Change File > Load the texture from the new location/with the new name inside your pack
also, no capital letters nor space are allowed in file or folder names (inside the pack)
