I am trying to make a mc mod with mcreator and can't figure out how to export the animations from blockbench. I got the model but the .java file format seems not to support animations

Are you using GeckoLib?

no

#

by the way I am using the online version of blockbench

So how did you make the animations?

timber bobcat
#

I first used the "java block/item" then converted it to a moded java entity

#

sorry modded entity not modded java enity

None of those support animations so I'm not sure how you made them - unless you mean animated textures?

timber bobcat
#

no actual animations

Can you send your model as a bbmodel?

timber bobcat
#

one sec

You're not in the Modded Entity format. You're in the generic model format.

I know that but I can't use that as an entity in mcreator so I converted it to a modded entity but I don't know how to save the animations with it

it has to have the .java file format so the .bbmodel is totally diffrent

Honestly I have absolutely no clue what you did because you're in the generic model format regardless of what you say, yet you somehow have a java file

timber bobcat
#

hmmmm

#

IDK anymore

untold bear
#

Did you send the bbmodel before you converted?

timber bobcat
#

yep

untold bear
#

Well that would make more sense

timber bobcat
#

the second .java file is the converted one

#

You need to use GeckoLib probably

timber bobcat
#

great I'll try that, thanks

#

wait, is gecholib a plugin?

quasi galleon
#

Yes

timber bobcat
#

great, thanks again

(It's, in reality, a mod)

I was able to get it on blockbench but is it required for the mcreator too?
