Are you using Optifine features?

There isn't

#

Without Optifine, 2 objects are not visible... can't this be solved somehow?

If 2 objects are not visible without optifine, this means you are using optifine features.
So make sure that everyone has optifine installed

Yes, I understand, but I don't want the texture to look like optifine, but plain vanilla. How can I solve it?

By not using Optifine features in your resource pack.

#

I guess you change the model based on the items name?
That's an optifine feature and not possible in vanilla.
To make custom items in vanilla you'd use custom model data.

It looks more like @sleek heath used capital letters or spaces in their file or folder names for the texture(s) of the model@wise verge . Name based model changes wouldn't cause an error cube but show the normal item model.

Files/Folders nor reference to them are allowed to contain capital letters nor spaces.
Valid symobls are: a-z (lowercase only!) 0-9 / . _ and -

When changing a file's/folder's name, keep in mind that you also need to update all references (texture path in models, model paths in custom_model_data predicates etc.)
Disclaimer: Optifine allows those characters but for a vanilla client the model will either be the error cube or it might even crash their game (depending on their specs).
