@twilit wigeon yes thats the last step, if u want to remodel it like in the video u need to have minecraft installed oficially, not cracked, also only works for bedrock
Yes. I have all that
that other option only exists for the installed version of Blockbench
Oh. Well then what do i do?
depends on what you wanna do
you can use that just as well
you just gotta use the .mcaddon like any other .mcaddon file you'd download online
have you ever downloaded an addon online before? You should be able to use that file you get from Blockbench just like those.
Never
Actually i might have.
I haven’t made anything yet. Do i have to do something before that?
if you have made nothing what does Blockbench want you to download 🤔 ?
did you setup anything in the other tabs? (Appearance, Behaviour etc.)
Well it asked me those questions
I just followed a couple tutorials
But i didnt design anything
but it gave you the option to change the texture/model at some point, right?
as in the player character?
No it was blank i was trying to figure out how to make it look like this
The tutorials said to do the other thing first to get to this but…
the grizzly bear video?
Saw that one too
once you downloaded the thing and read through "next steps" and then click on "continue"
then you can edit the mob model
It wont let me go to next steps
when I click on "Next steps" it tries to download the mcaddon, then once I decided if I wanna download it or not it was on "Next Steps"
Same for when I click on the "Export" button (in the Export tab)
hmm, weird
works just fine for me both on the PC website and on the website with my phone
Does it mater if its on an iPad?
should be the same
I did the whole process again and nothing
The other person that I talked to’s idea was that there was something wrong with what i typed
It says “<- *Required” but there is nothing wrong
not sure what the <- is about
When i click it this happens
oh, that's just the back button
it's just * = Required
as in any field with a * needs to have a value
Oh
and it wouldn't prompt a download if something was missing
Hmmm this is a tough puzzle
for me clicking Export prompts me to download the mcaddon, then gives me this screen:
(and on "Continue" it will let me edit the model)
That’s what all of the tutorials say but mine doesn’t
could you check if there is an option to open the console/error log in Help > Developer?
Were would that be
Oh yeah i saw that earlier. I didnt get what they were saying
if you could send the errors/warnings it shows it could help us find out what might have gone wrong
Actually i went to quick start wizard thing
no, that's just for help with choosing a format etc.
I basically need your browser's console/error log
Sry charging crisis
hmm, not sure then, never used a tablet (or at least not like that)
maybe check how you can open the console for Safari (or whatever browser you use) on a tablet
(in general, not for Blockbench specifically)
????
?
What console
Also, I'll go to bed now, it's nearly 2 AM for me, sorry
Oh ok. Thank you tho
@twilit wigeon create a model in Bedrock Entity format. Then in the model go to tools > Minecraft Entity Wizard. Then in Appearance, the model should appear
Then download the .mcaddon
And open it
Ok ill try
I dont get it
Where exactly are u stuck?
Are u sure it isnt in ur files app?
No I mean it doesn’t let me go to next steps after that
It wont let u edit the model afterwards because u dont have export to folder option and the only thing that means is that either u dont have minecraft, or u didnt buy minecraft and have a cracked version, did u buy Minecraft?
no, it would/should still put them to "next steps" if they didn't have that weird problem
Ohh right, when they click export nothing happens right
Sorry for the ping @balmy lichen , but do you by chance know what could cause them to not be able to get to the "Next Steps" section in the Entity Wizard?
It seems to let them download the mcaddon on their tablet (Ipad from what I could tell), but it never sends them to the "Next Steps" section (and hence they can't go to the part where they edit the model afterwards).
Yeah seems to be an issue specifically on iPad. I'll investigate tomorrow
I tried on google and it let me put it into a folder but not to next steps. Also I bought Minecraft and have downloaded things to it.
Well that only works on Windows for technical reasons
Ohh
