Unable to play on party.

Just got this game a few minutes ago, upon joining a lobby with my friends their avatars are invisible to me and when they hit ready it doesn't update on my end; on their end I appear invisible and when I hit ready it doesn't update on their end (both of them can see eachother and ready just fine). Going solo seems to work just fine but I bought this to play with friends

Hello! It’s a bug that I’ve experienced for over four years. If you still want to play with your friends, you can join a room and give them the code at the top of the screen when you press and hold TAB during a match :)

Or you can give it to them as you join if you join a match via the Browse Lobby menu :)
