What's Culling?
It is a technique game developers use to optimize performance by reducing the number of objects or polygons that need to be rendered, improving the overall efficiency of the game.
Basicly it stops rendering (asking the GPU the draw) parts of the game you cannot see.

So what I think happens here is the game is calculating what you can see, and due to the shape of the ladder it thinks you cannot see the floor so it stops rendering it
