It scales to the amount of spawners you are tripping
Which itself scales to how spread out your team is
A group clustered together will spawn a similar amount to solo, a spread out group will spawn a lot more

Artificer is by far the worst for me
its not even difficulty
its just not fucking fun
prosecutor is a genuine chore

anyway hi I wanted to say some things about how tormenteds feel to fight in the Valley
overall, I think the decision to hard-nerf them while in the Valley is a good one
(because good god, some of these bastards would be impossible to fight otherwise)
health range feels good --- they tend towards the 600-800 range in a 12-point delve, and I think that's a healthy range
I have some thoughts on a few of them in terms of what they actually do
- why do Spiritcallers never call their nature spirit? that kinda ruins the whole gimmick
- Moonweaver completely forgets to cast Prismatic Distortion. it doesn't even cast it when it dies anymore, it just never throws it out. should be cast once at 20-25% health or so, methinks
- I swear to you, Deadeye's Twisted Split Arrow is dealin' Ring damage in Valley contexts. I should not be takin' 8 hearts at once from a single Split Arrow. please look into nerfin' these fuckers I do not enjoy gettin' mauled every time one spawns
- not a Valley-specific thing but can we add some checks for Vanguard's Challenge to make it so it can't embed itself in bedrock (I had this happen in a White delve recently due to the fodder skeletons)
- what is Whirling Ripsaw and why do I feel like it does exponentially higher damage the further away I am from the Watchman that casts it
- Bishops are even more obnoxious here than in later regions due to havin' exactly none of the tools needed to deal with the big shields knockback seraphim PLEASE make that thing easier to deal with in the Valley I beg it's practically half a Bishop's toolkit here
it’s a known bug that most tormenteds don’t cast their ults in r1 because it’s on a flat health threshold
like Moonweaver distortion is 600 (800?) and the Moonweaver itself has like 527

Not to mention that outside of intruder ,it is bugged and doesn't even heal the moonweaver
is it not also bugged in intruder

why would it be kept on a flat health threshold when these are things you can fight in any region 
I think judging tormented performance based on 12 pts is somewhat flawed since they scale tremendously with each and every extra point added
delves in general I feel like point count matters more then what points you pick, since the scaling matters so much and with tormenteds its even more important.

I think tormented scale to much in r1, the walk speed of deadeye in particular really stood out to me as insanely overtuned. Classes not named scout just could not escape it, since it runs faster then the player can sprint and threatens to also ohko every single build in the region (yes it does ohko every single build in the region with its eagle eye, its really dumb)
and like sure the game in general isnt balanced around having all of the delve points, but you still are encouraged to go up to 25 pts when your playing with 4 players and even at 25 the tormented are more then twice as powerful as they are on 12 pts.
r1 spiritcaller I think is just bugged i've not seen it cast its summon before
tormenteds are intentionally not balanced for r1
but if you did balance for r1 you might just be able to drop the damage scaling from x0.4 to x0.2
and maybe shoot twisted panacea
Panacea maybe should be shot elsewhere aswell
And deadeye has more abilities than actual spec its based on
There had to have been a point where you go "okay maybe it's a little too oppressive" about three abilities ago
Meanwhile ranger is about as threatening as the dual wielding LG skeletons

I think it was tested as ranged classes and tanky builds and not much else

It is counterable but not for a lot of builds, particularly melee ones
You need to constantly strafe or have the ability to tank it while being able to avoid missile
I feel like split arrow should deal low damage but ramp up with consecutive hits
Or actually be split arrow instead of legally distinct wynncraft guardian angels™

ranger can shoot a normal arrow and then immediately volley which just murders you
Vigor check™ is not threatening
its completely insane to approach the apothecary without being hit by it. The attack moves pretty fast and has nearly perfect uptime so you never have time to stay close to the tormented to hit it more then twice at best. all while it also summons 2 high HP creepers
its like the most anti melee attack there is on these guys
I'm not sure what like r1 warrior or even just r3 guardian is supposed to do to get in close to that guy; panacea does such a good job at pushing you away from the apothecary. Trying to combat it without a tool like advancing shadows or windwalk is just really frustating.
the only good news is that the reset of apothecaries move set is not that threatening

as a Warrior in the Valley, I find both of the scouts disproportionately obnoxious
Deadeyes because if I let them or their pet touch me I'm dead
Watchmen because I get harassed by Whirling Ripsaw every few seconds while tryin' to fight one
both feel awful to even attempt to approach
r1 rotv scout kills them in about 16 arrows (my build is not infused)
ripsaw is magic damage
dont ask why both of the scouts dont do projectile damage, I cannot tell you why!
I think delve points should be judged based on how they fair when paired with other delve points since thats what they where made for. Like it would be a bit unfair to say that bloodthirsty is lightwork because I want the mobs closer to me anyways, when the true danger is bloodthirsty bringing the monsters with other modifiers stacked on top of it closer to you.
like before I made the point that twisted proscutoer is unfair mostly because its pull will kill you when its dragging you into a hoard of other delve monsters. The prosecutor isnt acutally that strong when its completely alone, but it pairs so well with literally any other mob and is really restricting in that way.
as for the always play at 12 points, thats just ignoring multiplayer in a multiplayer server. But besides that your heavily encouraged to always run tormented 5 in every single delve you play forever now, since the fragments they drop are important for intruder; who requires hundreds of framgents to get all of the items (plus more for insane potions). So you always have 8 points as a baseline and theres lots of reasons why you would want to play with more then 1 extra mod (maybe its a weekly modifier you want to play, maybe its for pass, maybe you are just board of easy peasy 12 pts and want to suffer)
you even take tormenteds for loot running, since you can turn around to kill the tormented in r3 after looting every chest in your speed set
delves just are tormenteds now for better or for worse

think about this for a moment. how many Tormented Fragments are you actually goin' to use in a week?
are you goin' to need so many that you have to constantly run Tormented 5 in order to make back the losses from runnin' Jeremy so often?
realistically...no, not likely unless you're really gunnin' for some speedy grind. from what I've observed, you can generate upwards of a dozen tormenteds per delveable dungeon, and even just one of such a dungeon will give you enough frags for 3 days of daily Jeremy fights --- and that alone scores you an item and a half from the rare trader
and if you run a bunch of those dungeons per week or even just in one week
well, now you have a ton of Tormented Fragments that you can sit on for a while and casually grind Jeremy with
You only realistically need 2 for each daily which is pretty much just your daily bounty POI, if not more than that on average. If you feel like grinding non dailies then sure you can grind more but it's not heavily encouraged for sure

tormented frags are ~24 ar in uwuwu rn
so running tormented is profitable just based on this but i honestly see no issue in current tormented implementation besides balance of tormenteds themselves
quick note on Artificers: is there a reason why...I think it's a twisted Transmutation Ring? doesn't disappear when the Artificer dies

not necessarily forced just means that that specific spell (idk which one ripsaw is lol) doesn't have a damage type setting
it is fixable it just requires it to be added as an option for the tag in the plugin

Trying to kill the Galactic Collider in melee while the two spirits are pushing you around is actually the shittiest thing from any Tormented ever. You can't change my mind.
Also, the Gallactic Collider itself doesn't have a very large hitbox either, and it's not exactly difficult to miss since it constantly floats up and down.
Sure, the Twisted Abomination throws crap at you 24/7 as well, but at least its Nuclear Amalgamation has a HUGE hitbox that sits where it is spawned.
Yeah, I wish it was glowing like nuclear too
