strength 30
also using fol and celestial
new potion just dropped
the hexfall epic

so paladin definitely needed a nerf but guardian is also doing more than 48k a minute
that's the thing that confused me
I mean thats why they also nerfed brute force charms
this is all unbuffed with hiero btw
guardian was doing a little around assassin while sacrificing all movement, not sure why it needed a nerf
any sane person would probably pick assassin
unless you want bodyguard
it did more but I think they just wanted to lower the overall dps
and keep assassin top tier by nerfing the rest of the competition
with our testing it only did more because brute force was bugged
only to later fix it to find out it was doing similar damage (from az)
me when the all stops pulled dps deals dps and loses all qol and movement
I think there was either still some multiplicatives or some weird thing with the formula
not right after but enough to still have some hidden additive bugs maybe
im very sure there were non
brute force was doing way more than intended
and at the start of additive rework they made brute force and wm bonus base damage soo it was inflated
Yeah but after looking into it it was revealed to be a bug in the formula or multiplicative issues
but generally the moment you add attack speed buffs from potions/hiero, guardian and or berserker would outDPS assassin
while without its somewhat similar
you can also run something like wrench forcestack and remain very tanky (acting sort of like a subtank) while outputting fairly good dps
i do this in sskt
wrench has 20 base dmg vs construct because it's a golem
i only need to use 1 atk speed piece because wrench already sits at 1.4
I think at that point you can just use will of the codex
axes also get a bigger bonus in general
oh yeah ability differences too
from 0.8 no
you'd get I think like 1.6 attack speed?
would it still outdps with less than perfect atk speed
talking about hiero + haste + atk speed + grace 5
yeah axes vs. sword
same build
oh with hiero you easily get more than that
oh wait we were also using argentum so that's why
argentum instead of kingslayer that's like -25% atk speed
Will of the codex has a base of 22.5 and hammer of legacy has 30
soo thats around a 30~% increase in damage
and that damage acts kind of like a multiplicative source of damage
which after additive change, theres very little of in the game
soo even if you're using attack speed pieces
ok that makes sense
it might be worth taking 30% multiplicative damage over lets say 55% attack damage from gear
especially now that infusions give attack damage
soo its even more effective to have a slow weapon
also it's not worth taking argentum over kingslayer with axes
yeah that makes sense
attack speed is more value with axes than swords
so uhhh what we gonna do about regicide/trivium
weve been waiting for fwap to revive
and i did see them around so maybe october
relative to regicide/trivium
ok. i can accept that statement. except for two things.
regicide and stamina.
first strike got buffed, reverb has its place, trivium is fine, and technique is usable
however.
regicide is beyond useless in context of how much budget it seems to eat up. and stamina has the issue of needing to be hit four times to reach its maximum potential. which is just 10% dmg per level.
granted stamina is in a better spot because it's usually on tank items, see Belt
but regicide is just đ„Ž
6.5 armor melee prot 3
it used to be way tankier but they murdered its armor value a little
12.5 armor effective (melee) on a seemingly offensive piece (with atk speed mind you) is quite tanky
Yeah I donât agree on that regicide is healthy
It feels like they have to be this weak so that boss fights are balanced
But then in normal encounters they are just not competitive enough
Yeah but if you were to buff regicide
The first thing to break is still boss fights
Unless you buff specifically non boss maybe
the highest regicide item in the game is regicide 2
that is an eye watering 10% dmg vs bosses
Additive
also regicide's budget is very wierd
on some items it eats literally the entire item budget and on others it takes up like zero
nightmare's warden:
me when I spread false information
only item that is now usable and not ruined by regi budget
ex ks will lose nothing if we delete regi from it lol
exactly
the fuckign enchant is flavor
meanwhile, other items get ruined by regicide budget
it's an ok tank item within its context
especially post inure buff
inure is very good now
technique specifically for proj (shako) is still a bit not enough to go into 3 blocks range for 22,5% additive dmg imo
technique should honestly be 4 blocks for projectile
that puts it at halfway into PB's range
its not even that worth
also dont think I was in technique range on construct if we are talking from bis proj dps standpoint
also 3 blocks is so risky since some mobs just have fucking reach hacks
golem has exactly 3 block reach iirc
and Albert gets big enough that technique won't even proc on him
it used to be 2.5 blocks when released
yeah that was a bit rediculous
techni
not worth that little bit of damage for the risk of getting too intimate with mob
but im glad it atleast got some buffs
dies
it can stay 3 for melee but honestly it should be 4 for projectile
@arctic stream hello đ
i saw u typing
I was going to jokingly mention how rude of TM it is to try to balance items so that they don't overpower everything else in bosses
very rude indeed
what do you mean I cant pred strike oneshot orasomn
1984
I'll be fine with 3.5
melee abils is also 3 iirc
Agree with this
With regicide being additive I bet regicide items could be replaced with 5% damage per level (attack damage, anyway) and they'd still be more viable at damage options for it

Sure projectile and magic damage is more expensive so I don't think it'd be a clean replacement there, and regicide applies for every class while a damage replacement would be only one
But aside from the paladin issue proj and magic classes just aren't the boss dps threats on the radar
I still think the gap in elite HP vs regular mob hp doesnt warrant regicide over your preferred damage type, it just seems too expensive and there's not enough levels to build with that it'll make a difference (Nwarden could change that, maybe)
With R3 asking for so much damage to keep up against basic mobs as is, there's very little room for regicide to be bought imo, and even if you have some room, there's the in practice factor of working with the actual items and trying to look for synergistic item pairs (which can be fun, but more often than not I e found regicide items awful to build with, mainhands like god tamer not withstanding)
wish we had more magic + regicide pieces
