pretty much obvious that loom floor mode, when used midair, is usually for clutching or make a safe landing point under you, so i suggest it may be a good idea to make the loom floor mode, when used mid-air, readjust your position to be above the floor?
just mildly bothered that i used loom to clutch void, the block gets placed but was delayed enough to fail the clutch

yes, this would be a good suggestion. I might even go around and add it - I have a way to simulate high ping so could even check if it works reliably enough
(someone else asked me just this morning to add a feature to the client mod to improve loom, and this should preobably solve their issue as well)
although to not mess with normal ping players, it would need to be a bit smarter than just a teleport, maybe a check for if the player moved through the blocks

yeah, unfortunately here my ping sometimes is somewhat inconsistent, and today it has happened twice that the floor mode didn't save me -- once on lava and the other time on void, admittedly it's kind of inconvenient, and since this feels like an issue that may occur to others i figured sending it here can be nice

yeah, let it be togglable or like what njol mentioned, check the use position and actual position to see if the player fell through the floor block

Can someone post a video of this happening? I cannot reproduce this issue - anticheat always teleports me up on top of the platform again already.

this is a somewhat rare occurrence I think, usually I fall through a few and gets teleported back, on a few particular instances where my ping spikes I just end up passing through
