what y’all thought of the newly revamp R1 poi, Ancient Ruins. I’m mostly looking for well thought out, single message that’s for improvement that apply for future build and/or future poi revamp. You can discuss about this poi

like it a lot, easier to explore/fight, nice work

Excellent update that solved pretty much every issue I had with the old version, minus the near-ubiquitous 'R1 has too many generic vanilla mobs' complaint. It's much more navigable thanks to the clearer layout, its looks have been massively improved with the expanded block palette and giving it more of a semblance of architecture, and most importantly the gameplay is waaay better now that there isn't tall grass and a 4-spawner phantom cluster in the middle of the PoI.

I also liked the cheeky little trap - can't have this PoI feeling too easy, now ;)

i haven't visited it yet but please tell me that if i kill a silverfish, all the cobblestone in the poi won't stop existing and lag my game out

I would like it a little more ruined and overgrown. I also feel like it is quite empty, half the time I had to look for mobs to fight.

Now for some good things: I like the aesthetics, I like the trap, and that, save for one spot, the grass and flowers are placed so that they don't break when updated.

maybe not in spawners, but the old ancient ruins was like 40% infested cobble

Cleared it another day, it’s so much better now!
It used to be basalt delta but with cave spiders and webs and vines
Well maybe I just experienced it too early and have a bad first impression
It is a little bit complete? for an ancient, ruined structure
Aesthetic is good though I like the feeling

Saw it for the first time yesterday. Build is really nice and spawner density seems reasonable - definitely think it makes The Plague less of a miserable drag
