Wigfrid battle helms are also a cheap option if you have access to friends or the celestial portal

from what i remember bee queen's screams also makes using spiders really difficult even with several eggs for a constantly replenishing army

with a large pig farm+full moon book pig skin becomes a very easily acquired resource and football helmets get really cheap

even without the full moon a large enough pig farm can make football helmets more accessible than wig helms+bee hats

even still tho idk about using it on any spiders other than nurses and maybe spitters
