I just wanted to bring up an idea I had because I want to hear everyone else’s input on this incase any of you know of a mod or one in development or if someone is skilled with making mods you can feed off this? My idea is what I like to call a blackout mod. This would mean any map and/or game mode you are playing, the mod would disable any source of light such as ceiling lights, lamps, spotlights, and even outdoor variations such as street lights and porch lights. This would make operations feel more silent and suppressed for better NVG operations compared to the already very immersive night operations the vanilla game has to offer. The best example for this would be the mod known as Operation Neptune spear which simulates the operation navy seals carried out to eliminate Osama Bin Laden, or the Clean House mission from COD: MW 2019. There is still rooms and hallways in these examples that are on but for the outdoor areas and most of the indoor are not illuminated by any light source on the map. Please feel free to leave a reply to this ide love to hear additional input or any mods you guys think could be similar to this!

but because i thought the original TOC of the game would get mixed up with the British TOC i deleted the original TOC for the swat team,not for the civilians and suspects.

Guys I've never modded a game before, actually quite new to PC gaming, how easy is it, and how often do things go wrong?

I got the real weapon names with more guns and attachments mod and also got the weapons with the missing models but the ones made by UNSELLES still have missing models

Very easy to install 99% of mods. Things only go wrong when you install them improperly or an update comes out that changes something that the mod did

I believe if you go on the mod page, in the comment section, there are steps to fix that. Gotta install another mod or two

Most players flock here and go "Why is my game crashing", but in the case of a mod becoming outdated, all you can do is just delete it and wait for the mod author to update it

regarding sounds, i think the ambience can be improved tremendously. Zero hour does a good job of background noise outside when spawned, mainly crickets, then for example when you enter a building, the background sounds fade to dead silence, it really sets the mood

The post processing effects are material shaders. You can probally make overriding materials (with post processing set as domain) and Scencetexture:PostProcessInput0 hooked up to the Emmisive output to achieve what you want.

Yea you will still be able to play, you just have to disable serverside checksum in settings, only you will see the mod it’s would only be clientside unless if it’s a map.

You have to install the pak corresponding to the one you want.

You can only install and use one variation of the mod at a time, they will just overwrite each other when being loaded if using multiple variations at once.

not sure how people are making their mods for this game? but everything i try and edit and then put in a pak just refuses to be read by the game. i've edited lots of post processing settings but the game ignores them. never had this bother with fallen order...i'm using asset editor off github, is that why nothing works? what else is there to edit .uasset files?

tried editing with UAssetGUI as well, for example MI_AIOutline.uasset which does the lobby desk coloured outline, i changed the colour with the editor and made a pak but the outline istill yellow. doing my head in...how do you get mods working on this game?

When using the M14 rifle with the atak LPVO, the round would impact on the first compensation dot instead of the center crosshair or so abouts. Not sure if its height over bore issue which is a real thing, but also the model as well
