@copper flare Only choose which pistol you want to be your primary and put that in you pak folder, then in game when choosing your primary weapon you'll choose 'submachine gun' tab and the pistol you chose will be there. For there to be no conflicts you need to choose a different pistol as your secondary first.

Create a new folder on your desktop, move all of the audio files from SWATJudge into that folder, move the entire folder named SWATJudge Legacy onto your desktop, open downloaded file VO, open folder SWATJudge, highlight all audio files, drag and drop into original SWATJudge folder

Installed a mod. Compact 911 just to test out. And now i can not get it removed. Have unsubscribed the item in mod menu. And clear Mod item in main menu. I’m still waiting for a republic commando overhaul of this game. Turning it into a spiritual successor to republic commando would be a dream. I’d do it myself, unfortunately I have no skills in the modding area, or coding area for that matter. And for that reason I am forced to wait and hope

I'd suggest you don’t waste your time waiting, this isn’t even close to being a possibility. It’s like wishing for a Battlefront 2 overhaul that turns the game into a CoD campaign. They have entirely different gameplay structures and the modding capabilities are way too limited even if they did play similarly. You may as well make a Republic Commando game from scratch at that point, it would be easier lol

Well, I don't think it's too out of the realm of possibilities. If you've heard of the galactic contention mod for squad it's stuff like that that gives me hope for this. Though I do know it would be tremendously difficult

That is completely different. Squad has a modding SDK and this doesn't, the mods you can make for RoN are extremely limited compared. Galactic Contention's gameplay is also very similar to Squad's gameplay as it is, it's mostly just changing the characters, maps, vehicles and effects i.e. mostly cosmetics over mechanics and core gameplay loops.

So not possible if you're asking for a full fledged Republic Commando "spiritual successor" of course

But that's exactly what I was thinking. The changes would be almost purely cosmetic. No voice line changes, or actual gameplay changes. The only changes would be character models, and guns. It would be nice to make the bullets lasers, but I don't think that's possible being that you can't see the bullets as it.

The menu's and squad commanding effects wouldn't need to be changed

Of course what I'm asking may very well still be impossible

Mod.io tends to cause problems and most of the time doesn't work so it's recommended to stick to manual only.

No there's just using in-game mod.io or downloading manually like any other mod for ready or not but I know the bug you're referring to and it's limited to one specific author's maps so just don't download their maps until they fix that problem and you're good.

Don't remember myself but you should be safe to download SW4T or Not maps, lustful remorse, sanctum's deceit, some of the recent maps should be fine I haven't gotten a chance to try them yet though, maps by vegriv should work, operation 0600 map should be good, and Central South Office Park. That's about all the maps I can confirm shouldn't have the issue atm.

The Jug’s AI mod is, the things that affect movement or equipment are not since they change the same things

Every .pak file has a number attached to it, tending to be 999 or similar. IIRC this dictates which mods load after one another, so 9991 would load before 9992, and thus be overwritten if they both affect the same things.

@sour vapor the easy way is to order the paks folder by name. Mods to the top load before mods to the bottom. There, you can organize your modlist like that.

because the order system is not simply numeric. it's alphanumeric. meaning mods with 1000 load before mods with 999

you can organize mods by folders inside the paks folder, but i don't like that system, you may lose order control. I prefer leaving all paks inside it and move, rename or remove accordingly

yeah. the AI file has no conflict with gunfighter. The movement files does, but GF is broader, so i suggest you leave GF with a lower number, or remove my movement mod altogether

Gunfighter does that yes. You can select headgear as normal, but you can also spend slots to put on other headgear as if it were adding grenades and such. Keeping in mind the character you’re doing it for in the customization screen will not update their look until you leave and come back into customization.

Despite the criticisms about how it works in-game, once it is installed I can't see it working any different than a manual stall. Different install location, but the game reads both.

Overall it's generally recommended to download your mods manually since it'll lead you to have the least amount of problems with them down the road but if your mods are causing issues than it wouldn't really matter if you downloaded them manually or through in game mod.io unless there was a difference in the versions or the mod was corrupted and generally corrupted mods would just crash your game.

Well in the case of single player you should always have judge's voice so you would look for the folder labeled SWATJudge to replace his VO. If it's multiplayer and you've selected a different voice than the default which is still judge than depending on which voice you've choosen it'll either be in a swat VO folder with the name after SWAT like judge's folder or the first letter of that name followed by a number which you'll just have to listen to the audio files in the folder to figure it out then.

@elfin scarab Depending on who you ask you'll get different recommendations for AI mods. I've used Astrals, Ready or Not Here I Come, Jugs, Realistic SWAT and Suspect, and am currently making my own. They are all far better than vanilla in terms of behaviors and interactions, but everyone has their own play style so I'd recommend looking those up on Nexus and giving them a read through to see which match what you're looking for and then giving them a try. No matter which you get it's going to change the gameplay for the better.

I’ve never done it personally but I believe you can download a program called audacity and that will allow you to mass convert the audio files to the .ogg format the game uses now.
