ADsing in general is slightly slower but not really noticeable. It makes it where it doesn't snap but feels smoother imo

Those datatables from what I remember pre1.0 were just the values of what enemies etc are on map and their loadouts and spawnpoints
But doesn't actually deal with their pathfinding in a general sense, or did they change that?

those files in there do things like this > AP_Charge.uasset you can change the general 'charge idea' that suspects do and change the minimum maximum range they do so at

You can do that in AILevelData unless that doesn't work, if it doesn't AI Data tables will have those variables

To change min max spawns I think you need to go into the AIDatatable for specific maps
i tried changing the min and max suspects, and now the game spawns the max suspects by default regardless of my aileveldata settings
Blueprints>DataTables>AI (whcihever map or the map itself)

the way it functions is the top fields you fill in like min max suspect is a 'universal preset' and at the bottom when it shows each individual layer, you'll see options for min max suspects, if there aren't any you can add that line which will give that specific layer that preset. if deleted they will function under the universal preset

you use UAssetGUI for datatables

Requires UE 4.27, place this bat in UE4.27>Engine>Bin>Win64 make a shortcut of that bat file once placed in there and move shortcut to a folder where you will mod. this is to repack files, to unpack files you need something like quickbms
download quickbms and follow the guide to get that working and here is the bms needed to extract pak files

So the first file is for repacking raw files you have modified and turning that back into a .pak file, the second is for taking pakchunk whatever and ripping it open

I just retried the level since luck seemed to have railed my first attempt
But now they are definitely a bit more passive
The way AILevelData works is sorta RNG style
2 suspects surrendered as a team of 5 swat banged the door
One got shot after trying to pull his weapon out
Each individual suspect will have a probability of a minimum or maximum starting morale
Some are cocky dumb bastards
some are pussies
Another at a doorway surrendered, I approached to tell him to turn and he tried to pull a knife and he died

2 shot / killed, 2 apprehended
i think the morale settings and others work, but the min max spawn needs to edit the map datatables

So it could very well be that you ran into a layer that generated mainly meatheads
And that second layer generated a more even amount of suspects lol.
Could have also been the suspects had so many buddies around and were shooting so much that they got their morale raised to the point of not caring

from what I see the armor just goes by durability mitigation and spalling
Depends. Some NIJ IV ceramic plates can handle an unbelievable number of overlapping impacts of 9mm

Unfortunately they can’t model armor the way it works irl without severe implementation issues. Hex vs square tiling, multilayered tiles with overlapping edges, BFD, etc

the fatal funnel should be dangerous, but the 5 man team we have is doing to much, looking at the ground for weapons and cuffing suspects, dealing with 16 people armed with rifles and submachine guns on a map. it's not the right way to create challenge imo
Levels of armor are defined by a certification by a specific testing procedure/agency.
NIJ is the national institute of Justice and is a government body that amongst other things provides impartial testing and certification of personal protective equipment for police
GOST is an equivalent agency but in Russia
RF is a new classification system introduced this year for the NIJ
Which is more specific in regards to rifle threats
For example; NIJ IV armor is dropped on its face twice from a specific height, then shot with .30-06 M2 AP against a clay backer to determine whether the plates meet the standard

So with my mod in a sense, LEO's and SWT officers dont really have access to level 4 armor. Ceramic is basically Level 4 in a sense, it CAN tank some rifle shots but will kill you after maybe 2 or 3. I tried to keep it realistic as to how it is in the actual field
They do have access to LVL 4 armor but typically most commonly they run IIIA vests

Police officers wear IIIA vests because they are wearing them all day and plates are uncomfortable
Police wear a variety of different styles of armor for different roles. SWAT wears a level II or IIIA full-coverage kit including throat, groin, bicep, and more with level III, III+, or IV rifle plates
Generally, SWAT officers wear body armor that is classified as Level IIIA, which means it can protect against most handgun rounds, including . 44 Magnum and 9mm submachine gun rounds
So it's not uncommon to see IIIIA armor on officers but on average they are running IIIA
SWAT wears extremely high end NIJ VI plates because they are better in every way for short periods

so i redownloaded the game, nothing in my files and no option in the launch options. i clicked the button to clear any mod.io data in the options but it still says modified game

From what ppl say it has no issues, though I've heard some ppl say otherwise. However I went into gunfighters files and they had .bak files in the folder, I remember in the past having any backups can cause corruption to your mod so I do not know if it's because we are touching the same things, or if the .bak in their mod messes stuff up. So it should work from what I've heard but just be weary lol
Other than that I'm clueless that should have wiped for the most part.

Liking the USP myself with the recoil I put on it
i manage to make realistic suspect max spawn possible in t he game but i had to inject directly into the official pak f ile. if i made a mod out of it all the settings would be wonky
for some reason, with the recoil edits the pistols seem to have the most 'feel' to them

i edited my swat to be more accurate and responsive and edited the low level suspects to be less accurate and have lower morale
I'd love to see modified SWAT to be a bit more mobile
Take cover under fire, flank and stuff
the suppression mechanics have a major play in providing dynamic scenarios that wont get too mudane or typical 🙂
Play with those and the cover radius's a lot you'll find a nice finetune area eventually

the game is less exciting and action packed, but i feel more immersed and the atmosphere is more subdued. i think i will try and make it work in mod form so i can release it on nexus

There is a localization folder in pakchunk0-WindowsNoEditor with several languages, you could check that
I wish RoN had integrated voice commands, but seeing how they can't even handle fixing the AI within 3 years, I think I'd prefer using voiceattack over whatever half-baked feature they would make

I'm glad they added the "wait for leader" command in 1.0. It was probably my most used command. "C2, leader throw and clear"

after installing in game menu and setting the player count limit, how exactly do I go about hosting a multiplayer session using the new limit? Do I load into multiplayer and have friends join me normally? Or do I have to host games in a different way? I ask this because I noticed a preload map section within the mod menu and was not sure if I was supposed to use this instead of the regular multiplayer lobby

they still can be pretty crazy though from what I notice. just seems slightly more fair
I've found that if you move faster and spend less time worrying about details that it's a little bit more reasonable. The ai seem to work together pretty well to get at you if you sit for too long holding angles giving/getting micromanaged orders so to speak with friends. Just make sure everyone knows what they're doing before hand and it flows real smooth and buttery like. for like 4 minutes. It's an improvement over 3 though 🤣

They really are relentless, it helps a lil. However, use the morale system to your advantage. That's what the AI mod really tweaks
I think people aren't really used to fighting in the sense of 'morale' but more so who can kill who and get angle on who first

Someone said last night or this morning they had a scenario where 1 round the RNG fucked them and they had superhumans, the 2nd one was pretty even with average morale. He breached through a door with a 5 man with C2 startled one guy and guy got killed, another surrendered because of that but pulled a knife out and I think he arrested one.
I've had a lot of success on ironman mode too with this mod sorta doing what the AI does and laying down fire if they shoot at me, wait listen try to comply. I'll toggle my flashlight to see or even get a reaction from them to see if they are dead. things like that. And since I added more slots you can use mags without worrying instantly of running out lol

I've talked to the devs about it, and at the current stage I haven't had any luck with swapping gamemodes properly. It's just autodefusing the bombs at the start of the round.
For hostage rescue and active shooter it's based on the AI Archetype that is placed in the map

Anyone can provide some insight? I am trying to remove mods to play ironman mode clean and I have followed all the steps on the FAQ but every time I start a game it tells me that I have mods enabled. Any tips or am I missing something?
if you play a regular lobby rather than campaign then you can choose whatever map you want

open the folder that you install the paks into and delete the mods from there manually. I had to do the same thing because some of the mods weren't from the in game selection
check to see if "server checksum" is enabled or disabled on both of your menus

a lot of settings got reset with 1.0 so go back and check to make sure everything is where you want it.

multiplayer modes have not worked since ever, and the C++ functions for those modes has been removed from the live build by void because it wasn't how they liked it

i reduced the suspect count and now it's easy as cake. it's really not so much n ai issue as it is a numbers balancing issue. yes swat ai is better than suspect ai, but they still need more people to handle all the flanking enemies, arresting, evidence, etc, etc

the model in game is already of the A5 variant with the Geissele handguard, which is decent. Ballistique has an A5 version but with a quad-rail and front-sight flipped up only though... Could have gone to that if it was flipped down.

Have tried a validation of game files. It is a clean install.
Something of note, he does not have the "windows no editor" paks in his folder, even after a validation. Not sure if this is an issue or not.

you need to go to Steamapps/RoN and find Paks and delet the mods.pak manually

Alright, so installed a locker customization mod form the Mod.IO thing in game, but its showing that its not installed, however when i go to play singleplayer and do a mission, it says that the score isnt official due to mods. where in the folders can i delete the mod so it doesnt keep saying this without reinstalling the game?

Lol, what? On Coyote, apparently, the default behavior for AI is to GAIN morale when grenades are detonated or other suspects die.
I mean, I guess I sort of get the morale gain on suspect death - their comrade died, they want to enact revenge - but when grenades detonate?
Oof, it looks like that issue is actually present in most of the maps
The majority of maps have the values GrenadeDetonateMorale.Damage and AIKilledMorale.Damage set to -0.5, the problem being that there are two properties for each of those values, Damage and Gain, and logically, damaging something by -0.5 heals it for 0.5.
I wonder if this is part of why suspects just never fucking surrender. It's because some of the things we expect to break their morale seems to actually help their morale.
Note that the above is just my interpretation/speculation after going through game files; I haven't tested this in-game.

No extra slots, no nothing. Yes, I made sure to download the version with extra inventory slots. Am I missing something?
The data structure seems to have changed from Early Access in that these properties used to not have sub-properties; they were just directly modified, i.e. instead of GrenadeDetonateMorale.Damage and GrenadeDetonateMorale.Gain, there was only GrenadeDetonateMorale - if you wanted gain, you assigned a positive number, if you wanted damage, you assigned a negative number. The thing is that the values for most of the maps are the same from Early Access to 1.0, but the property assignment has changed to use the new structure; meaning where there used to be GrenadeDetonateMorale = -0.5, there is now GrenadeDetonateMorale.Damage = -0.5, so a negative damage, so a gain.

The AI mod that was suggested to me (no crack for ai - just say no) does allow progress of cosmetic achievements as per the author. But not sure about other achievements. I personally do not care for achievements to be honest.
