Are you using in-game mod.io or nexusmods?
at first i tried mod.io and it didnt work
then i tried nexus but then it also didnt work
or i probably just installed the nexus mods wrongly
Well the in-game mod.io is broken and fails to deploy most mods, modded maps is about the only thing you can install from there.
Nexusmods you need to extract the mod file from the archive using winrar or 7zip and than place the extracted .pak file in your paks folder.

all my mods are extracted and in the pak folder, i am not using ingame modio
mods im using are from nexus and modio (browser)
tried trouble shooting by removing each mod one at a time, and got this same error,
even zero mods i get this error now for some reason,
prior to manually installing paks, i opened game and then opened in game modio where i unsubbed from all my mods, then opened up pak folder and deleted all those paks, then i installed my paks
should i have not manually deleted said paks?
upon file verification, RoN is redownloading those paks, does that not mean it is redownloading the paks i initiallly unsubbed from and then manually deleted?
The WindowsNoEditor paks are the game files not mods so you basically deleted the game when you deleted those paks.

So i tried making my own voice over and i put all of the sound files in the SWATJudge folder in the ready or not VO but when i get ingame none of them work
Did you rename after the files you were replacing and are they in the .wav format?
No models as far as I'm aware there's a modded map with zombie models I believe though. You can look up they sound like zombies on nexus for voices. There's also zombie or not AI but all that's doing is giving all the AI knives it's still great fun and can be a little intense with the big crowd of them swarming you best played with friends though.
Wouldn't personally recommend it but it's a whole lot better than the in game mod.io mod manager but manually installing your mods is the best and most fullproof way to guarantee they'll work.

Well I can see your mod doesn't replace all the voicelines for Judge so that's bound to happen so I recommend removing all the voicelines from the folder and placing only yours in and trying again.

You'll just have to troubleshoot and slowly take mods out of your paks folder to find the culprit as it's likely a conflict between gunfighter and a attachment mod. My gunfighter works fine with the SPC and the other mods have.

Sight dimness in combination with flashlights is a known issue, as well as port having no reticles

Well for voices you have they sound like zombies and or case 478 intended to give the game more SCP vibes comes with music/ambiance as well. Case 478 is probably more of what you're looking for,

They can see weapons from mods like sniper or not because those guns are already in the games code

Not yet there should be official SDK coming some time after 1.0 release but there is a map making template and unofficial SDK by Reap somewhere.

If you have serverside checksum disabled, both, but it is very unlikely that random users will have the same mods as you required (maps)

looks like the reason was moving my swat ai to the fence behind me caused them to see a suspect inside and start shooting which caused the suspects to run outside, ill get the no swat mod installed instead

Yes everything unlocked is outdated. You can use sniper or not 16 to unlock it instead.

Try renaming the m14 mod's number and change 99 to 999 if that doesn't work likely just means that mod is also too outdated.

Or, alternatively, some people were saying you could disable the serverside check so you can still just run your own mods without other people joining needing them. Is that true?
There should be an option to clean mod data when launching the game the 3rd one down when seeing dx11 & dx12. There's also an option in game options for this.

Ok well SOF_Helmets is another head replacement mod and masked AMP doesn't work with that nor any other helmet/head replacement since it also replaces the entire head.
Yea you also have shadow company in there which is a full model replacement mod so again that would also override AMP heads unless you change the load order number that being the number after pakchunk to something higher like "999"

Not really I've only ever used two that being body cam - reshade mod and recorded or not at the most they only take 10 FPS from me. But I did just try out that reshade and it's working just fine for me

Nope just reshade and the mod's ini file which needs to be selected in reshade to function.
Modded maps require all players to have them to work. Modded maps won't effect your ability to play vanilla maps with others as long as you don't download any of the outdated replacer modded maps.

I mean there's probably a few if you search it up on youtube. Regardless, if ya used the in game mod.io mod manager to download than you should be informed that it is broken and fails to deploy most mods, maps being the only thing that really works with it. It is recommended you download mods manually from nexusmods or mod.io website.

i downloaded 15 maps using mod manager and when using in game mode it shows only few maps not all of them in the Level tab

Otherwise it is either an issue with the launcher or the mod, either is possible

Yes if they don't replace both Black & OD skins you have two outfit mods together.
so lets say there is a mod that only replaces OD and a mod that only replaces LSPD SWAT?
Yes you can have those work independantly of each other. If it was the case of one mod replaces both black & OD and than another mod only replaces one let's say OD, than you can override it by changing the number after pakchunk: So for example if it says pakchunk99 you can rename it to pakchunk999 to override the mod that replaces both.

My buddy and I have been playing with several gun model replacement mods and gunfighter mod.
We came back to the game today after a 2 week break and his mods work but mine don't. All .pak files are in the correct location, I have no mod.io subscriptions and the folder has been deleted, but no matter what I do the mods don't seem to work in coop or when I open my own session as "Friends Only". How do I fix this?
Define them not working them in coop
They aren't showing. Gunfighter doesn't alter the equipment slots like it should, all of the guns are vanilla skinned. It's like the .pak files aren't even in the folder, except they actually are.
I am not sure why they would break after this specific time since nothing has changed, I would try reinstalling them and double check they are in the paks folder, as well as that they are the raw pak (not a zip)
Figured it out. So apparently at some point I moved my game installation to a different hard drive and I had the mods installed in the old folder. They weren't moved to the new one for some reason. Moved em over, works now.
Yea steam only moves the installed files anything added that wasn't from steam or by the game won't get moved.

Neither of those should be causing an issue but the navy seals pack is outdated.
but if it is outdated should the game crash or the outfit simply do not appear ingame?
Likely just not appear but depending on what type of mod it is it'll have different results when it's outdated. Reskins will either not work or only partially work.
Still an outdated mod like that shouldn't be causing connectivity issues.

As a mod user/client, can I rename a .pak file to whatever I want? I ask because I have enough mods now to justify a standardized naming system so I can figure out what each mod does just by looking at the directory.

Yes but changing the load order number isn't necessary unless you need to override another mod. Also you can do mod folders for organization as well.
Likely an outdated attachment or something that modifies the weapons position.
The best method to resolve this is to move all your mods somewhere outside your paks folder and than slowly start putting them back in like 1-10 at a time than going into the game and testing the weapon to see if it breaks again to figure out which one is the problem. Should go by rather quickly if ya don't have too many.

It's as simple as downloading the mod - extracting it using winrar or 7zip - than placing the extracted .pak file into your paks folder.

I think it all just depends on your system, and what specs you have but I could be wrong.

Well I didn’t say anything about it not being fixable I just said it’s outdated and shouldn’t cause an issue which was implied towards your friends connection problem but most old reskin mods can still be used among some other mods if _P is added but stuff that’s pre-June update will be missing out on skins on the helmets and tshirt characters so that’s why I call them outdated.

Any cosmetic mods do not require everyone to have them installed but everyone must have server side checksum disabled in game options to be able to play together.

You don't get a prompt if it's pak files you're installing they're not directly replacing game files. Only time you should get a prompt to replace is for voice or music/ambiance mods.

Well if the files you're trying to replace weren't removed before installed than you're probably just installing the mod incorrectly. Make sure the folder/files of the mod match the folder/files you're trying to replace.

VOs will likely be broken due to the new NPC feature and new voice lines, I think it’s likely that gun overhauls and attachment overhauls will work. And I’m pretty sure gas mask,googles, NODs, and face masks may work.

If you delete the folders with the modded voice lines you added and go and verify the integrity of the files in the game's properties, it should add back the original voicelines

If you click on the game in your library there should be a gear on the right of the screen with a tab reading "Properties"
If you click on that and go to the "Installed Files" tab in it, there should be a button saying "Verify integrity of game files"

That one's a confirmed break at least. With the customization system, at least those cosmetic mod makers can simply individualize and adjust to the new system. Not sure for maps/gun replacers/gameplay mods. Some of it are still a toss-up.

There's a mod that makes all suspects use knives and has options for them to charge at you like your playing world war z and you can combine that with a voice mod that makes them sound like zombies but unfortunately no zombie models.

There is only 2 mods to me that matter, ingamemenu, so they have implemented their own so this may break, but we used it for the up 36 players option, we regularly did 10 man lobbies for hospital and farm with two swat team. So it's not the menu itself that matters it's the higher lobby count? @inland vortex do you know what works there?
Second is for him @inland vortex again, took me ages to get his 3rd person camera to work, for this to work has to be installed within the ingamemenu folder and activated through it's UI, so will this work still? Or no ingamemenu mod means no upgraded lobby count or camera mod either?

@velvet finch mod.io mods aren't working so I advise you to download them manually with nexus, and btw new update of RoN will release today in around 5 hours so I advise you to not to download mods until mods developpers update their models.

It's going to crimp the size from 95GB to around 60GB. Like the dude in gas station habibi with head blown off. Those are actual values to the bullets lol. I managed to make my mod where every bullet independently alters flesh differently. So I was able to see they have a really really in depth flesh model. you can peel clothes to skin to bone until it dismembers. Heads will rip apart and eyes will buldge out if shot enough with small calibers. So I hope they decided to activate those since it was all on 0 basically lol. Was a really really cool effect to see

yooo i got a question regarding mods
so if i downloaded a toc mod or a judge voicemod and replaced all the files as instructed, how do i remove the mod and get the old voices back (if that even is a thing)
i did try reinstalling the game but now only some of the voicelines are back to normal while others are still the mod versions

Also you should still verify the integrity of the game files to correct the modded files the update might not touch those files since their modified.
@vagrant seal modded files won't auto-update if you verify the integrity. Most mods will break from this update and the authors would have to consider updating again
I wasn't saying anything about them auto updating I was just saying for their modded voicelines they should verify integrity to get the originals back since that seems to work regardless if you delete the modded files or not. If they got any pak file mods they should remove them of course.

Well it's worked for other people including myself it's really recommended to completely delete the modded voicelines and than verify though.
ah so do i just delete everything in judges voicelines folder or do i have t sift through em one by one
