People mostly notice when there are things wrong with the game too rather than paying attention to the individual good things generally

I tend to really notice “small” details like ragdolls though (I assume lots of people see them as a minor aspect). They really make the combat feel weighty and impactul to me among other things. Without good ragdolls the combat feels empty for the most part. The good gun animations/sfx can only take the combat so far

Something that im looking at is reload animations. They make such a differents, thats incredible. Example: in RoN while fighting an enemy, a double "r" tap to fast reload, then there is the "stressful", fast reload animation with a good amount of sound... thats so good!

U mean aim point shooting. This is the proper way to use any kind of laser sight. It allows full fields of vision with no obstruction between u and ur sight picture

It's also useful when wearing nods as some sights (usually magnified) can't be used with nods due to no actual focus control of your depth perception. Also unless u move some sights and scopes forward you'll be headbutting it every time u aim.

The newest tactical shooters we have are still in Early Access.

They are creating hard content like game mechanics, maps, etc.
And that's what they should indeed be doing.
But i have always loved the briefing phases, the stories, the lore in those games. I love the theme, and how you can go far into fiction, still trying to stay somewhat realistic.
Because of that, I've been making content featuring original stories, trying to use the material we have in those games with a plot-arch that makes sense, ecouraging also different ways to play the same maps.
And i've been pushing the envelope.

Here's my newest attempt:

*The story here is about a man who had triple twins, with the third baby being stillborn (so says the doctor, who doesn't know that the man is the team leader of the city's SWAT unit). He has an encrypted channel with which he communicates with many investigation agencies, in a semi-covert fashion, including the FBI.

He calmly accepts the result of the birth when he knows it, but later on the same day, he gets an encrypted message that changes everything.*

I really don’t want to sound rude, but I highly doubt they’d choose an in-game screenshot over a painting/drawing etc. because there’s a big difference in time, effort and skill. Would actually be nonsensical and disrespectful for them to do that. Go with the last one cos you’ve actually done some editing there. Editing is not something anyone can do without much time/difficulty/knowledge, pausing the game in a dark room and taking a screenshot of a character at an angle is. and just to touch on your point here btw, I think the art is the thing you are taking the picture of. The game that the developers made with all their blood, sweat and tears is where the art is at. The art isn't the picture itself, you're just capturing something that already exists in the exact form it exists in (unless of course you edit it, then you are actually using skill and creating something yourself). Essentially you'd just be benefitting off of someone else's work if you made money or received praise off of it. Photography isn't generally an artform I respect as much as others though, unless you're really really insane at it and can capture crazy moments like how they do in wildlife documentaries n sht. ok but again you can just take a pic of anything and call it art and say there's a story behind it. and i still think you're plagiarising other people's sht pretty much by just taking a pic of what they've created. with other artforms like drawing and painting or modeling or texturing you can clearly see a how quality it is. it's not as clear cut with photography and there's a lot of room for making up sht to give it meaning. kinda like poems lol

and yes i dislike poems if you couldn't have guessed

but they're not always bad, a lot of them annoy me tho. depends how clever they actually are or whether it's just "open to interpretation"

that's what leads to the pretentiousness. when the point of something is interpretation it means the thing itself isn't good enough to portray its own thing. you could interpret how a rock arrived in a certain spot in a million ways

i like solid piece of work which portrays the thing it intends to portray with no room for people to make stuff up about it to make it seem better than it actually is in terms of quality. they're giving it more meaning than it has on its own

yep, I just don't really like that definition because again, a rock on the ground could evoke as many different emotions from someone (if they were making up stories as to how it got there in their own head and were really creative) as a really insane and skillfully made art piece. Or even more so if that really good art piece focused on a specific clear meaning which wasn't ambiguous and open to so much interpretation/various other emotional responses. And everyone thinks differently so someone could make a whole load of stories up, where as someone else might not think anything of it. It has no clear quality in itself and is too ambiguous, it may as well be anything. That's why I like things to just say it how it is, have the art itself convey the thing it wants well. Show me that you actually have skill instead of making me create your art for you. Other people giving something meaning is them doing all the work. The art itself could be a daym speck of dust you know. You take a pic in RoN, there is only one true story that was occurring at the time you took it, being that the RoN swat characters are doing a SWAT raid as you’re intended to do in the game by the developers/as a result of the core gameplay. Everything else (stories) you make up about the image is just made up, not actually made in the artwork itself. And yeah it's all art, I just can't "respect" that kind of art. But that's just mee 😌. I’m glad my original message sparked such a good convo though

I respect your decision to not play with randoms 100% but this game is soooo much better with human players who know what they are doing. I'm also pretty sure once the next update hits you can find a lot of like-minded people on here that really try to play the game correctly.
