Had this problem a few times, here is what helped. You should start by restarting your computer. If that doesn't work there is some other things thay may help. Such as clearing your mod folder, using task manager to close applications such as discord or medal, making sure your drivers are up to date, and even as it suggests, lowering your resolution. I also know that sometimes having a high FOV can cause a similar issue but usually it would tell you thay fov is the problem. Hope this helps.

Clip 1: Problem: Hitreg sucked at high latency. Why did it suck? Client shoots a suspect on his screen, server says nuh-uh because the suspect is actually somewhere else for the server as the shot registers. You know the drill. Visualized here by a red sphere, indicating where the server thinks the shot hit, and the hitbox of the target the client fired upon at that time.

Clip 2: Solution: Giving clients more authority to determine hits, because in a co-op game like ours, more accurate or fair calculations aren't as necessary against AI. When a client says “check this out, I just cranked a sick 90”, the server responds, “yeah probably, sure, seems about right,” rather than outright denying the hit, which would’ve resulted in no damage.

Clip 3: “But can’t clients just trick the server then?” I hear you ask. Nope, because we’re cool and talented and handsome. The server takes snapshots of the character hitboxes in order to retroactively verify hits. This drastically improves the registration of the hits, but it still means that damage being applied can only happen after the server has verified a hit. It seems to be the best solution in our case, as giving clients complete authority over damage locally can cause instances where a suspect would actually come back to life if the server disagrees with a client on any given hit.

It was confirmed by Void that there is already a system in place that catches things that go out of bounds, like falling through the world.

However, I would recommend using the AI to find things you can't see. Once a room is clear of hostiles, you can bring in the AI and walk them around, there is a pikcup command that appears if they're within ~5m of evidence

(Face texture, IE scaring/bruising) Other models are still subject to change upon 1.0 release. [Dev log states so much changes to build that its more time/work efficient to Release 1.0 vs Add more/fix the Early Access release version and attempt to squash bugs on the old version.]
