why is the multiplayer based on someone hosting and others joining on them? is that due to not having a dedicated server? when the host dies mid-game and quits, the round is dead! back to the menu we go and have to look for a new game..... is it not possible to make another player host when the original host leaves and the round continues?

Not currently no, it is just one host and if anything happens to them it affects everyone else in the lobby unfortunately.

They are having plans in the future for servers to join and server browsing I presume.

But because it is Early Access alot of features are still being developed or hidden for now

The current issue is the matchmaking so when your trying to join someone the host might've left as your joining them it's been happening quite alot. The other alternative is hosting your own public lobby and await people to join you.

It will be more than likely the host losing connection or them just exiting to menu. Due to them either being killed early in the match, unfortunately when it affects them it affects you aswell.

Yes it is a known issue that when you go to certain places in different maps FPS is dropped. Aswell as equipping the optiwand as an example. The developers will be looking into this issue and probably fix this in the next patch.

Yeah I don't think it's an issue with your GPU as long as you have the most recent drivers installed. Can you try keeping an eye on your PC's temps? See if it's getting hot at all before a crash happens or while you're just running the game

The way I understand it is If you have your FPS limit unbound, your PC pushes itself to its limit trying to get you as many frames as possible, so sometimes it's actually better to set your limit to match your monitor's refresh rate so you don't have any wasted resources

Restart Steam, disable any VPNs or network cards if you have one and give that a shot. And make sure you're not running the archived version if you were an original supporter. If you got the game through Steam, you can ignore that last part

Current voip implementation is gutted and will be replaced for next patch, we've had a lot of complaints about VOIP not working. For now, your best bet is jumping into a coop voice channel in discord

Game crashing randomly:

This issue unfortunately has a wide range of causes, many of which boil down to user software / hardware, or a combination of the two.
Below are some band aid solutions that may or may not work.

• If playing on DX12 and crashing, try switching to DX11.
• Try setting any RTX settings in %localappdata% > Ready or Not > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor > GameUserSettings.ini to false, except for RTXenabled.
• Verify the game files through steam.
• Try disabling windows game mode.
• Try disabling any in-game overlays, or third party overlays.

Loading screen stuck at 100%:

Go into %localappdata%, and delete the Ready or Not folder. This will be fixed by a future patch.

No sound is playing except menu / UI sounds:

• Verify your game files on steam.

Framerate drops / stutters:

This issue also has a wide range of causes, similar to the crashing above. We will be pushing a shader fix for certain windows which cause framerate drops
in game. Some potential solutions:

• Try disabling xbox game bar, windows game mode, or both.
• Try disabling any in-game overlays or third party overlays.
• Try disabling the 'Logitech Gaming Registry Service' in windows services.

I've now engaged a refund process, and will simply re-purchase the game on Steam as per your recommendation. It really sucks that i had to do this, but the back and forth between Xsolla was... frustrating, to say the least.

It seems that if the keys (From the 17th) are lost one way or another, Xsolla really can't do much about it. Haven't had a response from VOID either, so seems refunding is the only way. Oh well, at least i'll be able to play it soon

im sure its been mentioned already but the shotguns seem to be missing a shell. You load 8+1 but you can only shoot 8 when offloading then you load the 8+1 again.

I also noticed that my squad mates all had beanbag shotguns as the primary in the prephase (sitting in the truck before the mission started) even though I was the only one who equipped that item. Like players A, B, and D can host and all 5 can join their lobbies. But if player C hosts then player E cant connect to his game. It didn't do this before; The game takes a long time to load, even clicking the options menu freezes the game for almost 10 seconds, I get random texture pop-ins (IE: whenever I look through the holo-sight, it loads the high-res texture of the dot, only to unload it when I'm not looking through it, then the low-res texture showing again)

I'll try running the game on dx11 and see if this was the issue; I had the same problem with Metro Exodus where DX12 was a stuttery mess

For anyone who's crashing constantly whenever they are in the game. I might found a solution for the non-stop crashing, I have spent more than 12 hours trying to figure it out with the addition with the help from one of the developers @daring wolf and no dice, my crash count would easily exceed 100+ times and countless reinstalls. If anyone is facing non ending crashing I have made a guide on how to solve it

do not use the -dx12 command line youll cause crashing from quick launching or pressing play then choosing dx12 anyway. quick launch with dx11 works fine however

Oddly with my case If i set the launch option to -dx11 and launch the game in DX11 was more stable for me XD

its not so much a case of stability the game just doesn't launch with a dx12 command line while trying to launch the game, dx11 when playing would be preferable to folks with weaker systems and then for dx12 for rtx/dlss users

regarding the 7th step do you vouch for this driver program, most of the time they are un-needed when windows can update them and for gpu's you should be going to the ATi or nvidia site to getting them. i would however suggest a section on DDU

the 7th step in regards to drivers I did it to make sure I didnt miss anything as the program itself makes you choose which program you want installed. for example my Display Port driver was outdates by 4 years

in addition if anything goes wrong you can rollback the system

for nvidia 2k and 3k cards underclocking them by a few hundred can fix their issues of crashing, can be done with msi afterburner or equivalent software

what exactly are you talking about?
if you talking about mouse acceleration < stop using it u cannot build muscle memory make sure in windows and in your mouse software any kind of mouse acceleration or enhanced pointer precision is disabled.
make sure your mouse pointer speed in windows setting is set exact in the middle < do not move it anywhere else if you need to change mouse speed use your mouse software or change the dpi

on an nvidia card you can just open nvidia control panel -> 3d settings > switch tab to programms > add ready or not executable
change
Power Management = Maximum performance
Low Latency mode = on
thats litterly all you need to do.
if the game at some point maybe supports nvidia reflex turn it on ingame
make sure the game runs in fullscreen NOT windowed or borderless fullscreen.

in addition you can right click the ready or not exe in your install folder -> proberties-> and disable fullscreen optimizations. < can help with input lag in some games but alt+tab then maybe takes longer and screens can temporarily go black for a few seconds.

if you aim for max input lag reduction visualy and button to pixel lag get a 120-144hz screen make sure you set the screen hz rate in windows correctly ( in general even if you only have a 60 hz screen the more fps the less input lag you will have )
And try getting your GPU load under 80%

I've had the same issue not being able to join my friends. We all played fine one night, the next day I purchased the supporter bundle on steam, and then I couldn't join anyone. Names are red on main menu and steam invites do nothing for them or me. Hi! Hopefully this is the right channel to ask for some help with this, as I've fallen victim to a player's character voice-line related bug. The problem is that whenever I change my character in the personalization menu, the voice of the character doesn't change as it should, so I'm stuck with a default officer VO. Also getting killed by melee attacks, especially with heavy armor, worse still while using a shield to block should be fixed.

Tazer does not seem to work with shield. Only tried on one target multiple times.

Maybe if you have no shield, low armour you get disoriented, but if you got heavy armour, ballistic face mask it shouldn't do shit, with shield, well goes without saying. If they want to make a scripted take down/struggle thing I'm all for this experimentation, but not as it is atm, really dumb.

Got a question, Explosions and such are causing a kernel power error which is really weird because I play games with crazier graphics and explosions, I don't have the best pc but it shouldn't be an issue. Is this an issue with Ready or Not at the moment?
