It was doing some patch thing, when it said there was a 3 gb update in ron, it happened when I launched cs2, which for some reason didn't even open and was giving unable to sync errors too, anyone knows what's happenin? It's a mod, check your paks folder, and delete your mods you installed, mods from the older version of the game dont work in the new update.

After updating i crash to desktop everytime i press continue on the main menu to load my single player. Shows 100% loading into the station then CTD. Last update i deleted all mod/save data and deleted the whole game folder and reinstalled to get the game working again so its a fresh install.

Same if I try to host a multiplayer lobby

I don't know if it's coming. Upgrading to UE5.3 has made the game very CPU intensive for no obvious gain that I see. Maps that ran fine before the update struggle way more because of the heavier reliance on my CPU

DX12 caches the game, the main menu can be a bit quirky when it wants to be, but if you are loaded in you should be fine to load in faster.

Try looking at task manager while the game loads and see what is happening, if it is maxing your CPU/GPU, etc

Oh yes it is, and as such is below minimum hardware requirements.

Loading screens have shader compilation step now and by default the game has unlocked framerate in menu on top of having pointless 3D scene to render.
Means your GPU is stressed in menu, and your CPU gets stressed on loading screens.

Your PC is unstable if it reboots spontaneously since there are protections in place (OCL, OVP, overheating, etc.)

DX11 does not have precaching in the same way, it caches shaders on demand (aka JIT) and it has much simpler code/material setup meaning you don't need this step in DX11 as you do in VK/DX12.

A game is but a load, so if your system can't handle arbitrary load for whatever reason (battery, charger, heat, voltage, etc. etc.) it shuts down or reboots to either prevent or recover from malfunction.

RoN isn't directly interacting with your hardware and it does not ship with kernel drivers of any kind either.

Game is freezing on Dorms after Friday's patch, I don't know what was the status on previous patch as I didn't play recently.

My spec: i5-6600K@4,5 GHz, 2 x 16 GB@3600 MHz, GTX1070TI 8GB @ drivers 560.70, I also checked previous drivers without any changes. I never used any mods, game was updated from Pre 1.0 version with DLC.

I know, computer is not a new, current gen PC but it is fully stable an provides okeish experience in 1080P. In general performance is not a major issue, it was much better on UE4 but now I can handle ~60 FPS on EPIC, the problem is freezing on Dorms, I had only time to test second map - Carriers of the Vine which didn't freeze in multiplayer, when I was a host on Dorms, game was freezing 4 times in a row, then we stopped as it was annoying. Last thing, we managed to complete Dorms mission once on lethal, all fails were on non-lethal approaches with smoke grenades.

Freezing: game just stop responding, frozen frame, some looped background sounds in the background. I need to close the game through task manager. I also noticed that CPU load is released while the game is frozen. It happens in random situations, I didn't find any pattern. Worth to mention that it happens when I'm a host, we will try explore other scenarios.

So far I have:
-checked stability of the computer components, changed thermal compound on GPU, checked the temperatures of GPU, CPU, VRMs, Memory, chipset. It's custom WC so temps are fine: 40-60 C degrees. Prime 95, Furmark, Memtest86+, all tests completed without any issues. Rock solid.
-Checked integrity of the files, no issues.
-Troubleshoot errors and warnings in Event Viewer, nothing significant, there was one thing - Gameinput service fails, it's related to some Xbox app, shouldn't be correlated with freezes
-I have reinstalled GPU drivers, two different versions, always clean installation

Not that many game use loose files anymore, and it's usually always some proprietary engines, so Unreal Engine isn't really unique in how a delta patcher (which SteamPipe is) has to unpack the entire chunk even if there's a single MB of change.

UE games tend to have byte alignment issues so even if everything else was OK it triggered all pak chunks to reconstruct, which is why Valve added recommendations in their Steamworks docs.
Then you have games that are packaged incorrectly in one single large archive (ehm.. Remnant II..), devs probably didn't bother reading Steamworks docs in those situations lmao.

So... Whenever i play singleplayer (mainly on the 2nd map for now as i can't get past it without crashing 😅 ) i sometimes (most of the time... Like... 99.9999% of the time...) completely freeze when i enter a room, sometimes when im about to exchange bullets with a suspect and such (Like, i can't tab out or close it... I have to use ctrl + alt + del and press "log out" to close the game...
But this so far only appear to happen in singleplayer... When i'm in multiplayer either alone or with a friend i don't appear to crash... But i'd prefer to not depend on either friends wanting to play or hope that i am able to solo every single map...

I don't have any mods at all. I have deleted any and all mod folders, launched the game in the mode that deletes all mods, reinstalled the game etc
I went to tutorials to increase my fps and stop crashing, but only managed to increase my fps (I appear to get anywhere around 70-140 most of the time)

But i also have friends (atleast 1) who say they don't have any issues in singleplayer... And believe i have seen others play in singleplayer with no issue...

Ready or Not has been crashing for me non stop during the 2nd mission after the gas station specifically. I tried many youtube tutorials but none of them were effective. That's a generic connection error so you can try the usual of firewalls, reboots, antiviruses, not using wireless connection, changing the host of the lobby, etc.

For the second issue, currently the game recalculates PSO if you change video settings and this process happens on loading screens.
So the more you fiddle with scalability the more you get longer loading screen.

The only thing that changed is for DX12 you now need updated Windows 10 (due to UE5 using Agility SDK) and you have to have somewhat recent GPU driver (for the same reason),
HW-wise, it should still work on those minspec machines.

Auto-exposure has no real performance impact to my knowledge, it's a tool to tonemap HDR pipeline to SDR space while retaining details in the scene and that's it.

Hello everyone,

I'm coming to you for help. After contacting support by e-mail, to no avail, they redirected me to the discord servers.
In fact, I've been playing for several months or even years without any problems, even at maximum quality.

A few days ago, I installed Direct X 12 on my computer.
Since then, RoN has been overheating my PC (GPU rising to over 95°C). For no good reason, as soon as the game is launched. I've even tried setting the graphics to minimum. Nothing works. I can run other rather greedy games, such as the latest AC, Fortnite, Call of Warzone, etc... I don't think it's the hardware. Not least because the game used to run very well.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried repairing the files, I've tried every possible version (DX11, DX12, Safe mode, etc...) the result is the same...

To tell you the truth, thinking it was coming from my physical PC, I even tried overclocking my GPU, or forcing the speed of my fans ... ALL CLEAR ... Would you have any ideas on how to get me out of this mess?

Usually, the PC shuts down in 5 minutes maximum. Here, playing for a while with really all the graphics at minimum, even rendering at 50%, I was able to make it 30 minutes even... before it shut down...

I don't know if I've made myself very clear, but if need be I'm at your disposal for further explanations.

Also, you need to limit your framerate with a tool and make sure you have a good fan curve setup for your components, because what you are describing is major overheating issues. Do not overclock your components if you are running into issues like this,

1-I started here a few months ago. The first time my name showed up was on Hotfix3/Hotfix4, I think. im not from before the redline exist, idk every decision that was made. 😂
2-auto-exposure has no real performance impact?hamm.. there is, of course... especially when adjusting high-range HDR values (most of our levels have really similar PBR values), and the optiwand its already using Local Exposure for obvious reasons (ps-we use histogram, the basic that compute single value by downsampling, and still, not free)
3-Why not use eye adaptation at rendertarget? It could be a decision not only based on the performance of the rendertarget but also 'by design,' as I noticed some effects like gamma,color/artifact effect, to have a more old-school screen (not one that adjust the brightness of the screen). I could bring that to the table, but it definitely will not be our priority. But who knows, right? 🙂

Hello. Maybe someone knows how to solve my problem? I bought the game on Steam. I can easily play on medium settings at 60 fps and everything is fine. But at a random moment the game just freezes and I literally can’t do anything, not even close it or open another application. You have to restart the computer using the button.
I lowered the graphics settings to minimum, the game became 80-100 fps, but it still didn’t help. It freezes at the moment of opening doors, for example, or just while you are standing, walking, when an NPC grabs a weapon and aims at you. I don't know how to deal with this

So me and some friends were messing around in a lobby killing eachother and whatnot and then I get a message saing "you were kicked by an admin". He went into the game files and removed my steam id from the ban list and each time I tried to join back I'd still get the same message. We tried to increase the autoban number and remove the ban list all together and neither of them worked.

Dear support team, I've been recently getting some issues in ready or not My username is pedrofski17 And there are some. bugs in the game.

First of all every. mission I go and complete whether it's an A or B or S or C or whatever after the mission completion it shows that the mission is unresolved.

Second, I cannot install mods. It shows that mods are installed, but the mod isn't working. So for example, in game menu, mod shows that it's installed, but I cannot see in game. menu mod appear on my main menu. and I. tried verifying game integrities reinstalling the game and whatever that comes to your mind. I have tried it. but nothing seems to work.

I have installed modes from mod.IO, Nexus mod manager., And installing mods manually. nothing is working unfortunately.

And of course, I have searched the Internet, reddit and other stuff. And it seems like other players are experiencing the same issues, so. please. let me know what should I do

1. unresolved score means you did not complete or failed any of the main or soft objectives. So you could not have gotten an s rank while doing so. Look up a guide on map objectives if you don’t know what they are. This is not a bug.

2. mod.io subscriptions do not work most of the time, and vortex does not work some of the time. I would recommend always doing manual downloads as described in #❓modding-faq-archive . It sounds like you are either installing old mods from before the dlc which don’t work, or you are putting them in the wrong place or are not unzipping the files to get the pak file. Additionally, if you are to read the description of the in game menu mod, you will see that the author clearly states that it does not have a user interface like it used to

You can try it, but you will have to recompile shaders in the game. After that you can evaluate performance, and roll back if needed
