Go to singleplayer at the main menu and go to practice, pick a mission that you noticed you had a big drop. I noticed The Spider was bad for me with the rain and my teammates moving outside

Run practice mode and you can try everything scenario

I ran multiplayer and i just started a mission, it didn't drop, sometiems it goes to 45 but it's a bug, it's 60.

So Basically, buffer overflow is a condition where there's this queue of data that needs to be processed. When its full it will trigger buffer overflow error. I recommended 5 people to reduce their graphic settings and they never came back here, so it works ig? Idk but give it a try

To Delete Mods:

Go to Steam\steamapps\common\ready or not\readyornot\content\paks . Delete everything that is not a windowsnoeditor 0-20 pak, and then navigate to %localappdata% > and delete readyornot. Finally, verify your game files

To Keep Mods:
Disable server check sum. This means you allow yourself to play with people that have different mods, but they also have to disable this to do so

Hey guys, got as new pc partly for playing RoN. Game is crashing after 10-30 min. installed actucal drivers. tried to clean up with ddu and try older drivers. installed win 11 clean new. updated bios. installed the game 3 times, reapaired steam game data multiple times. often i get a kernalboot.dll error. tried dx 11 dx 12 and safe mode. nothing works. importing a save isnt commonly done and will probably lead to corrupted save (so you'd have to delete everything again)

Yea we have tried to change hosts and it doesnt work. Sometimes we can play maybe couple of missions in a row without getting connection lost. But then sometimes we cant play mission more than 2 minutes when we get it.

Hey - weird problem... I completed Mission "Valley of the Dolls" now twice in Multiplayer (best A+) and in Singleplayer (Practice) my progress does not advanced. Game shows "New Mission available Valley of the Dolls". Don't get to choose next mission. In Multiplayer of course I can select any mission. Any idea?

Since shortcuts are kinda obsolete and have not been touched by valve in a decade and since Steam client Small Mode exist, why bother, use the client to launch the game.

hello guys. I'm have a problem.
While playing RoN, I often experience FPS drops. Honestly, there's no difference in FPS whether I play on low or medium settings. Temperatures are within normal range, and I meet the recommended system requirements, yet I get 25 FPS, occasionally reaching 40. It wasn't as bad before the transition to version 1.0. Below is my specification:

CPU: i7 8086k 5.0GHz in turbo mode
GPU: RTX 2060 Drivers: 546.33 (latest)
RAM: 32GB DDR4 4x8GB
The game is on an NVMe drive. Previously, I had two graphics cards connected to avoid overloading the main graphics card for the second monitor (for gaming). Does anyone else have similar issues? When I watch YouTube videos, people with this graphics card seem to have good FPS.

My Controller Isn't Working/I Am Moving Without Pressing

Steam seems to have changed, or broken, controller configs in one of the latest updates. RoN does not support controllers natively.

• On Steam, go to game controller config.

• Select layout

• Select left joystick settings

• Reset/raise your dead zone value.

To do a clean install

• Right click the game on Steam, select manage, then select open local files. Afterwards, go back to Steam and select manage, then uninstall the game on Steam.

How can I see what map I need to S rank for the steam achievement? I found a problem after I completed every map on S rank in multiplayer, but the steam achievement did not start tracking these S ranks until I did them in commander mode. I have now completed commander mode, 13/18 at S rank, but because I completed them all at S rank in multiplayer, the game tells me my best score for every map is S rank. Hello, I am having an issue where I cannot load into a game. I can load the game itself fine but when selecting to go into SP/MP it gets to 100% and freezes when trying to load the PD. Idk where to put this issue since I havent found anyone with the issue. I have this issue since 1.0 update. danged, upgraded my GPU from a 1080 to a 4080 and my fps tanked

used to get 50-80fps on epic preset at 1080p with minor stuttering
now getting 30-60fps on epic preset at 1080p with major stuttering (i also got a new 1440p monitor but game defaulted to 1080p, when using 1440p res the fps stayed the same?)
DLSS increased fps to 50-80fps but major stuttering remained

Strange, but now the people I heard complaining about stuttering with better setups than me seem to make more sense lol

My OS is linux which cannot open .exe files in the same way. I've tried lauching the shipping exe through wine which attemps to solve that issue, but it gets stuck on a black screen after the title splash

Hey, would you like to expand on what proton versions have you tried and your ingame graphics settings? Perhaps updating or even re-installing graphics drivers/vulkan etc would be something that you could try too.

Well, you could try to enable DLSS and disable Vsync. If it isn't enough the certain way to raise the utilisation is simply raising the graphics settings higher.

Oh yeah, since you updated your GPU you should update "Mkinitcpio" and if you're on Arch based OS you should also run "sudo pacman -S linux"

I have been experiencing glitches during gameplay. Running the game in DX11 mode would remain stable for a stage (but it would eventually glitch), In DX12 mode, it usually glitches shortly after entering the map. Can anyone help me?

Cuz the way DX12 works is they have parallel compute which means they will process multiple data at once, therefore when you enter a new area or load into new map then you might feel the stutter especially if the game is poorly optimized. While DX11 basically has a queue where data will be processed one at a time.

Heya, had to reinstall the game due to some issues. Everything seemed fine, until now. At the moment, in any launch state I play RON, I keep getting an error message saying ''You ran out of video memory while loading 1 texture'' (something along those lines, did not get a screenshot). I have verified game files and this is a brand new install of the game. Before having to reinstall the game, everything was smooth and dandy., even while having YT playing/Discord and/or Steam up on my second monitor. My GPU if needed for info: RTX 2060 8GB

On my setup, using DVK3D is MUCH smoother, make sure you try launching with DX12. Clicking play directly in the steam library is required to actually launch in DX12; Launching from the tray icon will result in launching in DX11/DXVK which runs significantly worse!

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the late response. I was previously using Proton Experimental but after you mentioned proton versions I tried Proton 8.0-4 which seemed to have slightly better performance. The in game graphics settings are set to epic preset, bringing down the settings to low preset only seemed to provide a marginal 5-10fps on average. As far as I'm aware I'm currently using the latest drivers I could find ("nvidia-driver-535 Version 535.129.03-0ubuntu0.22.04.1") available through the Driver Manager app that came with the distro I'm using (Linux Mint) but I uninstalled and reinstalled anyways. Additionally, I tried the launch options you posted but the game would not launch with "mangohud". As I'm not on an Arch based OS I'm unfamiliar with "Mkinitcpio" or the equivalent command for "sudo pacman -S linux" on my distro - I'm sorry but I am rather new to Linux in general. Lastly, per @acoustic flicker 's suggestion I've switched to using DX12 (previously while this resulted in higher highs it also resulted in lower lows in fps, but with all other changes this does not appear to be the case anymore)

All that said, I'm now hitting about 90-110fps, nearly a 2x in performance
