DLSS Setting in-game: Performance or Ultra Performance = 860p ressolution rendering

Balanced preset actually shows what Quality should be, while Quality is actually Balanced and Performance+Ultra Performance does not work they just use the lowest ress available (in this case, Quality preset that should be balanced by the ress it is showing). No idea how you guys managed to break this feature like this but anyway, if it helps, the nvngx osd log shows that ressolution scaling in that order.

I’ve been playing RON on my old gaming laptop which is an Acer Nitro 5 and it holds a Intel Core I5 7th Generation, and a GTX 1050Ti I have it on my main main PC which holds a AMD RYZEN 5 5000 Series, RTX 3050Ti but I’m currently working on it and haven’t had time to work on it, and I regularly never have problems with it on my laptop and I can play with the same setting mainly everything on the stock and basic settings the game comes in with, but I have my frames at 60fps-70fps(in my main pc I get 80-100fps but I had to lower it cause I would randomly spike in FPS and crash), but I’ve been crashing and lagging a bunch idk if it’s cause my laptop which I’ve owned for 5+ years is coming to its lasting legs or if it’s something with the game, I don’t have problems with any other games some slight lag in halo but that’s mainly cause my wifi choses to give out like an old man’s back after trying to get freaky, but if anyone can help that would be great!

It happens quite often with higher end PCs with RoN, mostly due to being ray tracing compatible.

I would check to see if the hidden RTX settings are enabled they shouldn't be but it happens, if they are disable them.

not really an issue and i dont know where else i would be asking this, but i have noticed something very odd about my game, texture quality setting does NOTHING whatsoever, as in, it uses the same amount of vram and such. BUT it does do something for performance, in the sense that the game doesnt stutter nearly as much on map loading and in general.

also noticed no real difference between multiple settings and id like to know what exactly they change? like anti aliasing made a pretty big difference between levels but things such as vfx made seemingly no difference to how effects looked, such as gun smoke or penetration particles/dust/smoke

i just assumed the game allocated as much vram as it could to itself and that would make sense because allocated doesnt necessarily mean used i know, since changing resolution or render resolution also doesnt change amount of vram used

same for upscaling options

is my game just broken or is this how it's meant to use resources?

using upscaling and lowering render resolution also helps the stutters no matter what from what i tested either way

so there is a performance benefit to using them

just confused about resource allocation and the texture setting/the other graphical options not having any meaningful impact as i see it

also while on the topic id like to ask, there is no way of disabling SSR is there?

Map mods don't replace in-game maps* anymore, but mod.io has some issues right now with most mods installing

How many frames per second do you have and what is your frametime? It seems that your game is moving faster than the rendering engine @serene spear | Additionally, are you using a non-native resolution through NVidia's Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR) in its Control Panel, for example? I have experienced some visual bugs myself when I used those.

Either that or some textures don't load properly or fast enough because of the draw distance. Should you feel the need for it, you can try a clean reinstall of your graphics drivers because even if you select the 'Clean Installation' checkbox when updating your drivers through GeForce Experience, it's not actually a clean installation, old files are still being kept - Tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6NPVZ7sdZU

As for your other issue recording clips at 30 FPS using NVidia GeForce Experience

1. Open Overlay (Default Alt + Z)
2. Make sure Instant Replay / Recording / Broadcasting are off
3. Click the Settings cogwheel
4. Scroll down the options menu and click on Video Capture
5. From here you can modify the bitrate, preferred size, quality and framerate.

From my understanding, DX11 is an older DX version generally built for older specs and is more reliable as a result. DX12 is a newer version meant for higher specs, but it isn't as stable.

In the end, whichever works best for you is what you should use at your own decision. Both will likely continue to see work and optimization in RoN

ive verified and had the entire folder reinstalled so i didnt miss anything

and I didn't do anything to cause the error two, i stopped playing for a month or so and came back to the error

Just to be safe, double check that there are only 26 files with "windowsnoedtior" in their name and only one folder named Mod.io

Past that, try verifying again and launch either Steam or the game in admin (the .exe for RoN can be found in the large "ready or not" folder in steam\steamapps\common

hello fellow larpers I have a persistent VOIP problem that sticks to me even after clean OS reinstall.
TLDR:

1. Cant hear anyone and no one can hear me. (I can hear game audio perfectly just not VOIP)
2. I have separate headphones and mic.
3. Changing ingame audio settings volume\input device does not help.
4. Problem randomly starts during the game but most often after loading to\from lobby.
5. Problem does not get fixed after game restart.
6. Problem seem to sometimes be fixable through hopping from server to server, but it's very random.
7. Problem might be in VOIP server if it's even a thing.
   (Changing VOIP channel from local to team does nothing)

Please help me! It's infuriating to leave my team waiting for me while I'm wasting my and their time trying get it to work.

Yea RoN voip is just shit in general and has all sorts of problems but my only suggestion and no idea if you've already tried this is make sure your voice input and output devices in steam are set properly as RoN seems to source it directly from steam instead your PC.

Backend has nothing to do with your specs, it has to do with your connection

Try restarting your device/WiFi, check your Steam download region and make sure it is accurate, or try changing it to a nearby region. Try disabling any additional anti-virus, check windows defender, then restart steam and try again

If you cannot connect to the serverside backend, then I do not believe you will be able to queue at all

All I did was download some Mods

1. Verify the game files (right click on Steam > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity) 💬general-discussion
2. If you have any mods, remove them by unsubbing from the mod ( or just manually delete the mod fromC:\Users\Public\mod.io\3791\mods) and verify the game files (delete the .pak folder if necessary)
3. Update your drivers and windows (even to optional build, or even manual install)
4. Temporarily disable anti-viruses and test if issue persists
5. If all else fails, do a clean reinstall below:
   Uninstall Ready or Not on Steam
   Navigate to Steam > Steamapps > Common > Delete "ReadyorNot"
   Navigate to %appdata% > local (%appdata by default is roaming) > delete "ReadyorNot"
   Reinstall the game via Steam
