If it's based around abandoned vets and cops, I'm guessing it's to do with the state not looking after returning veterans, esp. with the game's theme of radicalised vets going rogue and assassinating political figures who cut back on veteran support

It also looks like someone took the original audio and messed with the positioning of clips, but that could just be me being inexperienced with the software and seeing something that isn't there.

The running theory is this is a cult of rogue cops that worship some entity or something? Honestly not sure, but they seem to be the main bad guy of the story.

I think its the flower trillium they worship, i remember seeing a video about conspiracies and there was a poem, I forget from where, about the flowers having those hearts of gold and that a woman tainted them with blood from her husband. the theory is that maybe the rouge cops had hearts of gold when joining the force ready to save lives and were maybe “tainted” by the corruption?

Carcosa: Referenced in a letter to H.P. Lovecraft. The wording is "Tower of Black Jade in lost Carcosa"

In regards to that room, it seems to all be stone and or marble. The lack of regular lighting seems super off as well as the dark hallway leading to it. And the chair arrangement might mean something as well?
