Almost every main complaint you can think of, has been addressed in some way, and Starbreeze has been on a monthly update schedule that seems promising

I think they’re moving away from Heists as DLC slowly

Probably going to switch to making new Heists and Smash and Grabs (mini versions of them almost) free, and make Weapon Packs, Skin Packs, and maybe Character Packs paid in the new shop

It’s speculation but highly likely, given the design focus of Starbreeze recently

Some major things that have happened since:

Armor now has 3 types instead of one

OG Armor is Resistant Plates
Impact Plates are like PD2’s Armor
Adaptive Plates are a mix of the two

You can now customize “Armor Frames” to have the amount of Plates you want, and whatever combination of up to 4 total Plates fits your style

Armor Repair Kits were added to help with the Trauma Damage that Resistant Armor has to deal with, from Launch

Adrenaline was a new system added to work as “Overhealth” of sorts, it also came with extra Skills to buff it and your Health and Downs in general

Skills in their entirely got a rework and are more like PD2’s Skill Trees

Overkill Weapons got reworked and have Overskills to buff them, which act almost like Perk Decks

They now also get delivered to you by a Drone, and Jacket’s Overkill Weapon (called Sociopath, it’s a bat for melee) can be pulled out of thin air

The game still needs you online to sync your account, but it supports full P2P connections otherwise

So now you can host games fast and fresh on your own device + use way more types of mods than before, even Console players can join modded games

They added a LOT of in-game and outside QoL

Consoles have text chat too, and voice chat is implemented for all platforms

Starbreeze removed Leveling tying to Challenges, and is now adding Contracts each update with extra rewards to earn as a side thing

In some ways, yes while the game plays a lot better than PD2 imo

It’s in an identity crisis, while solid enough to be fun as time goes on

The only main problem is the content drought, which Starbreeze has been working hard to remedy on with monthly updates and a good schedule they’ve kept to

Payday 2’s main advantage is true Offline + over 11 years of support and a giant modding scene

Payday 3 is still much newer, and both had and has big expectations that it needs to live up to

Starbreeze under old management had the wrong ideas, and it takes time to learn from them now

I feel like a lot of people also forgot that Payday 2 had highly mixed reception on its launch

I think the game actually had less total stuff to do than Payday 3, when comparing both Launches

It got better soon enough, and left big shoes for a potential sequel to fill as the years went by and it had no competition

Not to mention to shady stuff going on with Starbreeze behind it’s development (Bo Andersson is a menace)

Usually 1-2 is enough for 1 suspect, bonus for you if 1 shot stuns multiple suspects, on hard mode though it might require more shots to make them surrender, after every shot make sure you have LoS to them and shout for compliance, don't stay in crouch free lean while shouting because if you do not have LoS, they don't hear it. I also like to shoot once with the launcher and if I'm close enough I switch to taser and wait for them to either surrender or if they don't I tase them, that way I save some of the flashbang rounds.

So I watched a video from EXP where RoN devs go to Royal Armories with the guys behind the channel to review the weapons from RoN. When they had gotten to the 590 in game, I was surprised when the employee at RA asked if the 590 was intentionally added because the FN 509 (what the 590 is based on) is teh LAPDs standard issues sidearm. The RoN dev said it wasnt intentionally, but I dont believe him because, coincidentally, the ARWC is also very similar to the LAPD standard issue service rifle.

Perhaps he just didnt know they were intentionally added because the real world counterparts of those weapons are LAPD standard issue

Technically, the ARWC is based on the Wilson Combat SBR Tactical (according to google), whereas the LAPD si rifle is the Geissele Automatics Super Duty Mod1 SBR, but they look decently similar
