Honestly use what youre comfortable with gun wise i just recommend set your ai up with flashbangs and stingers and some breaching tools but i can say steel or ceramic heavy with ballistic mask and one of the 7.62×51 guns work pretty well same as the mp5 10mm is really good and run a couple jhp and a couple ap mags

Heck even the mp7 is actually nice

Honestly it feels like meaningful cooperation is extremely lacking in that game overall, outside of people bringing a certain weapon or stratagem to deal with a certain enemy you can basically use whatever you want and go on your own soloing the entire map. Stuff like backpack reloading is fucking useless because of how janky and situational it is and stuff like that is just not taken into consideration at all
The tank on the other hand does exactly that and since people are used to just playing "single"multiplayer they're gonna start bawling when they need to be within 10m of another helldiver
