Hi there. I am thinking about buying this game but the Steam write up is not really informative about what the game offers - it reads more like a story but tells me very little about what this game offers over other FPS games. I looked at the reviews and the ones I have seen are either generic or say that the game use to be good in the past but is no longer good after updates - making it hard to rely on positive reviews (which might be outdated).

I am looking for a game that is as close to possible as being a police SWAT simulator - while still being fun. I honestly can't tell if this game is any different from just playing counterstrike. Any advice?

Is there a rules of engagement feature? Is it any good? Future plans for rules of engagement?

I really think the description of the game on the store page needs to be improved so it is clear what the game offers.

The review was quite long and I had already read several so I was losing focus. But it made it sound like if I buy the game I will only have one scenario to play over and over again.

they were basically just "flavor" because the game didn't have as many maps at the time and didn't do much besides slightly move around props or change suspect counts

Okay, thanks for your replies. I am wondering, is it possible to tell your individual team mates to stay close to you? ALERRT tactics encourage officers to stay close which improves coverage angles. I find this feature is missing in FPS games - where your team either follows you are an inadvisable distance (too far away to adequately cover angles) or the team all follows the same command.

This is something I am really keen to see in a game - I really want to practice staying close to team members (very hard in a game).

(they're dependent on you to command them to be anything more than just trailing turrets)

there's always a "Bring order to chaos" objective and then the rescue civilians objective (forgot what it was called) and then some levels you gotta defuse a few bombs aswell like the school shooting level

and there's soft objectives like gathering evidence

Are there many maps where you get to storm houses? And if so, then are there also many maps where you get to storm larger buildings like university complexes. My goal is to practice Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response (ALERRT) tactics so I want enough situations so that I can practice storming a normal sized room in a house (but I don't want too few houses so that I get used to the houses/rooms) and also want to practice movement through corridors - another useful opportunity to practice ALERRT.

yeah there's 2 normal sized houses that i could think of, but the other one is like a meth house so it's in bad shape but the other one is very normal and then there is a few mansions aswell and there's a hospital map and a school map for example

you should look up a playthrough or something so you can get an idea but if the vanilla maps don't do it you can always look for mods and also are you going to buy the dlc's cause each of those adds 3 maps so 6 in total from the home invasion and dark waters dlc's

I am trying for the developers watch, and I have been using non-lethal to get S (or close to S ranks) to manage the stress level. But for the later levels this becomes very risky soMy question is: Would it be possible to go in with lethal and gas to try to arrest as many suspects if possible and if not kill them without increasing the stress level?
In other words:
How much does arresting a suspect counteract killing a suspects stress gain?
(for reference my ai have the traits, Intimidator, Negociator, Breacher, Moral Officer)
And how much does the Moral Officer account for?

They both stun, all you need is yell for compliance and they will surrender, unless there are other things not allowing them to do so, like being near suspect with bomb vest or another suspect that near stunned one

The difference is that beanbag stuns for 3 seconds and 40mm flash/stinger for 8s on standart difficulty
