The graphical downgrade is not intentional, there are tons of visual bugs at the moment that make the game look like shit. Theres no way to know how the game is intended to look like until the next patch is out.

And as for the censorship, it is not something that will be reverted as it would jeopardize the console release. Compromises had to be made in order to get the game out there on console and also get physical copies.

Even if we forget about the buggy launch, the game's AI hasn't evolved at all for years. It feels really rough coming back to RoN from SWAT4.

I'm not sure if SWAT and suspect AI issues have even been acknowledged by VOID. It's the most critiqued thing right after the obvious bugs.

I think the AI as a whole has been acknowledged for a long while. But things get more goofy and broken after new updates lol. The AI is either cracked (I’m impressed how well a methhead can start shooting at me the moment they see a pixel of my head), or just decided to do something else.

The real scary thing about the AI issues is that I'm not sure there are any easy fixes to be applied there. The whole AI ecosystem from the ground up seems rotten, if it still operates on the "every NPC in the game is always aware of every other NPC" basis. It should take sightlines (from the EYES) better into account, and respect the fact that when you lose the sightline, you lose the accuracy.

I just ordered my team to open and clear a room. I hold an open door. When I don't hear anything, I turn to see 2 (out of the remaining 3) officers just standing alone while one officer clears some random hallway. Is it a known issue that when we (Xbox players) use any Xbox menu (party chat, messages, etc) or leave the game in any way, the game has a near death experience and crashes or comes close to crashing?
