well they didn't remove the gore, they removed post mortem dismemberment. A shotgun blast will still remove a head. The changes they made are listed, and most of it is censoring naked bodies which still doesn't take away from the grittiness entirely.

Yea your teammates should be widely used as even having them appear side by side to you is far more effective to decrease enemy morale. Idk if them just following behind you also work to hit enemy morale but generally if there's 5 officers surrounding someone more than enough times they'll surrender compared to 1 officer with 4 others following behind him.

You kill far more people in TLOU than you do infected, especially in TLOU2. That game is borderline messed up when it comes to violence, gore, nudity, etc. And while i suppose it does come in a different context, i think the depiction of a post-apocalyptic world is probably one of the best on how people would behave, and by far most realistic. Not a single game has a scratch on what TLOU2 violence level depicts. It's literally torture-porn. They went way anb above to create how wounds, gore, sound, gurgling, blood trails, brain splatters interact.

But yeah, different game, different context. RON deals with some real life situations, most noticable are the themes of the game. And while neither provide "realistic" gunplay in terms of how wounds and gore does work (You can't really blow someone's head off with a shotgun for example and turn it into mush, and neither can you blow someone's limb off with a rifle) other parts are represented more realistically in TLOU2 like stabbing people or shooting them in the head with a gun close up. But Shotgun/Rifle and sometimes explosives are over the top. They are shown in a more realistic manner during cutscenes. The Joel/Abby Cutscene for example with the shotgun to the leg is what would actually happen.

I am still not very happy about what is happening on the PC side of things, but i am hopeful that they will optimize and fix the bugs a little more when the patch drops. The VRAM usage in RON is insane if you go and see the minimum and recommended specs, a 8GB VRAM card can't even handle High textures at 1080p, and on Medium everything becomes a mush. So yeah, i just hope this gets fixed because moving to Unreal Engine 5 was the worst move VOID could ever make, because they never used ANY of the tech UE5 provides. At least they added PSO-Shader Compilation post-launch, but the FPS dips from UE4 to 5 are like 80 frames lost.
