It's about the fact of censorship itself.
I had this game for three years, and all this three years this "questionable" content was fine.
But now (after two years of release, mind you) I get subtle changes (not so subtle, apparently, if these things are as bas as they shows) just to have ability to play with console players.

And the funny thing, I don't play this game online. I don't care about the crossplay function, but I do care about watering this game down.
Also, after seeing the company's reply it does starting to see like a slippery slope kind of situation.
All gritty stuff you had before? Nah, it's not coming back, because our console partners said so, and because you, dear player, need an ability to play with ronsole owners.

Came here to say that the changes are going to harm the new player experience. A big factor on why I fell in love with the game is it's shock factor, like opening up the container and seeing the women. Or the kiddo convulsing. Because it takes you to a place of "holy shit, this is actually real. It happens all the time".
Losing that is just a shame. It will lose the impact those missions were designed to produce.
