Tbh the digitalization is bad in the long run, especially when it comes to archiving/preserving stuff

It's good for preservation/archiving purposes too

But it is fragile as well due to files often being stored at someone's hard drives which once gone, the access to the og file is lost forever

Nintendo only goes after emulators and pirates because they know they can profit off their old games by simply reselling them

Iirc one of their recent collections runs on an emulator of their own

Which is often the game with older games that re-release on newer hardware, due to source code just not existing anymore

Well that's how nintendo does it, they know how to exploit their "fans"

It's not like this is the first time game prices rise, they've always been rising

I think going over old game magazines is a good way to see that and then see how much they would cost today

Ocarina of Time back in 98 was just 60 bucks, today that's almost 120 bucks

Meanwhile other games were priced at like 2x less

But also back then, there wasn't any standard industry pricing like these days

RoN simulates the whole "CQB fucking sucks" thing pretty fairly, but people reglarly chalk it up to "unfairness"

like if someone knows where you are, and has their weapon already raised, you're getting fucking schwacked in like 200ms if you peek them

besides maps like greased palms, where the AI can too easily acquire targets through cracks in visual clutter, it works pretty well
