I don't think thats the case because RoN uses UE Input System where actions (like "Fire") are abstracted from specific inputs. Developers define actions in the game’s code (e.g., in DefaultInput.ini or blueprint scripts), but these are mapped to user-defined keys in GameUserSettings.ini. Hardcoding would require VOID Interactive to override this system explicitly, which they haven’t done.

If it were hardcoded, the engine would ignore your custom bindings entirely, which isn't the case obvi

Unreal Engine itself doesn’t have a native bUsingAlternateControls variable that I know of. it’s not in the default InputSettings class.

just tried playing for the first time. looks really cool but im kinda left hanging after the "tutorial", it just teaches you reload, left mb to fire, and thats it... had to fumble around with crouch, dont know how to sprint, give orders, i guesss i espected more polish for getting your feet wet?
