It's completely broken. With Windows 11 HDR enabled in the UE4 build, the game looked great. With the UE5 build, colors are 300%+ saturated and HDR is totally busted. The game is unplayable with HDR enabled in Windows, currently.

Since the game wasn't HDR compliant you're using autoHDR and that's known to produce garbage results at times.

Go for SpecialK mod, that should hopefully do a better job.

The game doesn't have to support HDR Display officially for it to not run at 300%+ saturation (broken). In UE4, it plays just fine, even if the HDR isn't "official" or "perfect"; compared to the UE5 update where it's just totally unplayable.

Not one bit, if you are using auto HDR it does it's own thing, there's no input from game devs for how it behaves.

If you have an HDR display and not using autoHDR then that's bug in your Windows display calibration, not in the game

You should not turn HDR on on an OS level for SDR content, it will look incorrect.

Basic stuff like this really, use Special-K if you want SDR or even HDR to look correctly since most games have garbage HDR support to begin with.

but its more complex than that since theres also cooling, more versions of 3050ti, and cards can have different tdp in different laptops

which is also a massive mess, because there are laptops with lower tier card, but max tdp, sometimes outperforming higher tier cards that have reduced tdp

My friend had the same issue, just do as over cloked said, steam will then pick up the missing files and or download them. The problem should then fix

One bug I would really like to be fixed is the game uses gpu0 instead of gpu1 bypassing even your windows settings if you try and force a specific gpu. Resulting in integrated graphics being used, no matter what you put in your windows graphics settings.

For example with me I have 2 graphics cards with my rtx 3050 being gpu0, and my rtx 3060ti being gpu1. My monitor is plugged into my 3060ti and before the home invasion update the game would use my 3060ti, but now after the update (including the hotfix) the game uses gpu0, my 3050 and with other people integrated graphics, resulting in much worse performance.

In conclusion, make the game render off of whatever gpu the monitor is plugged into (or give a dropdown menu to let you pick)

I personally never had any issues with performance, however even if the game were to be optimized and dlss works properly, im willing to compromise FPS in my build (aim for 70-90 at max settings without dlss) for no stuttering as long as it is consistent

It still works. Some games like the last of us part 1 on steam, let you choose your rendering device and you can choose a graphics card that your monitor isn’t plugged into and it still works

But it’s not just me having this issue, I know other people are having it where the game is using their integrated gpu because windows marks it as gpu0. It’s the games fault

From my testing the game renders off of gpu0 instead of the gpu that your monitor is plugged into. For example some other people in this server have reported that the game is using their integrated graphics because task manager labels it as gpu0 and their dedicated gpu as gpu1. Before the home invasion update the game would use whatever gpu your monitor was plugged into. But now it just uses whatever gpu0 is, including integrated graphics even if you’re not plugged into it. Does that make sense? I might have worded it weirdly
