its the same logic as of how ballistic masks protects your face but for the helmets its centered around ur upper head

My favorite thing about everyone who wants "realism" is that if the missions were true to life realistic most of the gunfights would be 1 sided slaughters on behalf of SERT.

95% of enemies would be spray and pray with handguns, missing 98% of their shots if they got any shots off at all

I cannot overstate how one sided gun fights tend to be once SERT is involved

And bullets "actually working" is a misnomer. Nothing is ever as "sure fire to stop a threat" as movies make it out to be.

If RoN were realistic, with a couple of exceptions, the game would actually be markedly easier.

It's a roll of the dice when a suspect shoots you whether or not you get to be one of those survival stories that can only be explained as a miracle. Last year I responded to an officer down, suspect shot two officers, one was hit once in the face and once in the leg, one was hit once in his clavicle right at the edge of where vest coverage stopped.

The latter died on the scene, former walled himself to the ambulance.

Suspect was shot 10+ times by responding, lived, and is in a wheelchair shitting in a bag waiting on a capital murder trial.
