Wait so bringing 4 extra bbs is just one tube of 4 ammo?
Tbh I always used 4 shotgun slots and never ran out while on occasion I did run out with 4 rifle or smg slots but still it's rare
I never ran out of AR mags (bless my holy flashbangs) too
The exception is for beanbag sometimes I took 5 slots instead but cause I thought I would get 7 shots instead of 8 for each slot so I might decrease it to 4 slots

590M is good, but semi auto is better since you can spam with it

My favourite shotgun is the M1014 because idk I just prefer the feel of it, I guess its the fire rate or the damage but when I use the others it just doesn't feel like they compare.
How's the recoil on the M1014?
I'll try check wiki, last time I used it and a rush I counted 7 shells before a reload but it's possible I forgot I had already fired a shell or miscounted due to how fast I was firing.

Manageable, if you're going "BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG" with it they're likely already dead but it will be harder to maintain. I can't remember how it compares to others but I've never had an issue.

Tbh even though it's a semi auto, you still shouldn't just spam it as you end up wasting shots anyways, just it's a bit faster on follow up shots than pump actions

I mean it's very easy to fix by changing 1 value and they did change armor on Higher Strike from level 4 to 1 as example, so my guess is that it's done for a balance reason

I've been pre flashing by throwing the nade to the first level at the second floor walkway/staircase
I also break the windows on the third floor to shoot any security guards that may be outside
so I basically gave them this loadout and they never ran out of launcher ammo because they switch to TPRL and then they reload their launcher.
0 slot in primary (6 free in chamber)
1 slot in secondary for TPRL
6 slots in flashbangs
2 slots in c2 (16 total c2 between all 4 AI)
2 slots in wedges (16 total wedges between all 4 AI)
& mirrorgun for them cos I like using m320 flash for myself
@surreal pelican well that is mostly for S ranks, for lethal I do go the staircase route sometimes cos its easier with lethal, but less lethal however, if you encounter suspects in the kitchen/living while you're on top, it's annoying to secure or even get them to move to you especially if there are multiple suspects

Staircase route as in taking the open air bridge thing at the second floor with the staircase to the first right?
cos if you just go those main stairs, you are exposed, from literally everywhere, but if I go there, I don;t go fully downstairs, instead I head completely straight and clear where the loud music is at and where the pc and harddrives are location then I either go down from garden side or from the side where to leads you to the cinema part

Then after that I just cherry pick any guards that are on the first floor via free lean peeking over the walkway then continuing straight onto voll room
yea with lethal it's easy to kill them when you're above them, they have shit aim from below, the worst thing than can happen is though if you encounter most of them being on the top side, and others come from the adjacing rooms and from below at the same time lol

I think the reason why I got so fucked up at VoTD initially with the M1014 is probably because I had this mindset of like

After dying endlessly, I switched to Port to get a better feel of the M1014 and the range and then I went back to VoTD
I guess it takes time to get used to the shotgun coz I've been running AR throughout my 100+ hours
But either way, I love the shotgun
might require an extra shot or 2 because some pellets might miss, but still very good considering 1 shot is 8 pellets and around 4 pellets (on most maps on standard) is enough to kill on limbs or unarmored torso

i kinda prefer solo than with AI most of the times, because I can sneak easier and manage suspect stress way better than with AI plus I hate babysitting them

well as long as you hit limbs it shouldnt make much of a difference, but I don't risk it so only use shotguns on maps where they are unarmored or have L1 armor, for L2 and above I use other stuff

You need AP only on 3 missions, on other 23 missions use JHP
thats why .300Blackout JHP is very versatile and can be used for all maps in the game except 3 maps rn

i dont mind it if they're incapacitated, but when they are dead or when u double tap them if they still are grunting this is just annoying and unrealistic

I wouldn't be surprised if theyre helping fund the LSPD slightly for Judges behalf. (Dont quote me though, I mess up game lore a lot)
The experiment theory makes sense as judge, unlike his team, never takes breaks, never gets affected by missions.
Theory also makes sense as despite Judge wanting to help the women in "hide and seek" he still follows orders to close and secure the doors.
(Though this could also be because he was threatened)

the other missions that deal with the left behind and the hand dont really fit into these larger storylines

and the third big storyline I could see happening could actually be dealing with the USIA, MLO and judge
Thats interesting. I like how the missions all link up to that moment. For example we see port hokan trucks at the car dealership, and shredded evidence. Looking at the computers on the hide and seek level we can see employees and members a like threatening others tk keep their mouths shut

he had like a framed honorable discharge letter on his wall, meaning he could've been a vietnam war veteran, which is kinda important to the lore because theres also another theory that the US won the vietnam war in this universe. But essentially it's got something to do with mk ultra. Basically the theory was the USIA wanted to get rid of him because he might've known or saw something in the war, so they paid off some junkies with drugs to go rob the gas station he worked at knowing they'd probably kill him
I think in 1.0 they changed that honorable discharge paper to just some award to his business

The story the dev made up for it and the overall concept sounded pretty cool, wouldn't mind seeing that as an official thing either

they are working on a patch coming with the next update

I doubt an organization like black sentinal are scared of judges team in general as its just cops, More likely scared of the cops and government finding out about them.
I reckon it's just a beefed-up version of the Black Sentinel.

maybe even better than a lot of rifles
unarmored suspects, just take buckshot and it's really easy
even on hard, where they can tank one shot from 7.62, one buckshot round is enough to kill a suspect

I have a critique about the game regarding the cosmetics
Nothing bad about them, I love them but they aren't tactical enough(Dynamic and FPC Plate Carrier), but an actual issue would be the obviously inconsistent variants 
Like for one, the FISA LB Vest has only 2 variants whilst the black and ranger green gets FOUR, not to mention ranger green has an odd variant that isn't in black, but is present in the FISA variant
And then theres the camo variants, why is there desert camo for everything BUT the helmets 😭 (Tan doesn't count)
Definitely not a big issue but it has TOO much potential with how fun it is already

Honestly I like both (Narcos from Home Invasion and Leviathan/3 Letter Triad from Dark Waters)

Well hopefully they might consider adding those in the future updates. I get that the supporter edition was when success of the game was unsure, put then again launching on a whole new platforms could make sense to make it purchasable again. They haven’t added any cosmetics in a while.

well MP9 is 9x19mm so even with AP highest armor you can pierce is L2, while MP7 is 4.6x30mm and with AP highest armor you can pierce is L3, but still be careful because there's a few missions where they have L4 such as Leviathan

Lawmaker? I find that easier than Narcos tbh, but in general Home Invasion missions are much easier than the Dark Waters missions.

Good luck, most likely you just got unlucky, personally if you can do Narcos, you can do Lawmaker, suspect count is roughly exactly the same and as a map Narcos is mostly exterior which makes it harder imho while Lawmaker is interior only.

Well cs gas is shit with the last patch, flash and stingers are almost the same and are pretty much personal preference, but even still I would suggest to use the m32a1 flash launcher and use all the slots for it
but isnt that a little cheating? cuz using 1 weapon for all the game just speedrunning it isnt fair imho, + yeah cs gas is now a broken garbage
so flashes stay the best grenades

Suspects have only PM and G19 as a pistol on hospital, both requires at least 3 headshots to break a standard helmet and then kill you

Realism is what the game is going for, but they can have a leeway when it comes to weapons simply due to the fact how extensive LAPD's loadout is.
No suspect simply killed you all with some fal or akm, but def not pistol unless you all wearing nothing on your head
I think GA51 is nothing "outrageous" considering they have anti-materiel rifles, light machine guns, etc.
i already made a valid point to a email to void, how the GA51 should be replaced with the 556 model as the 308 would be too loud and concussive to shoot irl consecutively and accurately. nothing the game depicts
especially indoors with the loudness part. i know its a game but there has to be some realism factor if the game is going for realism, right? doesnt add up otherwise.
bigger bullet already means louder signature sound, shorter barrel also means louder signature sound. indoors amplifies that with echo and all else whatever physics work there. and not to mention, shorter barrels also have more felt recoil, even for regular 556 if you take a 16 inch and 10.3 the 10.3 will feel a bit harsher (supposedly, i never shot a gun myself). and you mean to tell me i just put on a muzzle brake which eliminates all that? cool fantasy. not to mention the unburnt powder, as the 308 has more powder than 556. meaning the fireball is quite fucking massive. again, muzzle brake just makes it vanish... huh?

you call it over the line, i call it realistic. if my knowledge is correct, i believe the 300 blackout was specifically created for swat teams because they complained the 556 was too loud for indoor usage. if a 556 was already loud enough to complain about, what about a short barreled 308?
In my opinion, it is over the line.
I am not a gun nerd, so I cannot discuss on this matter. For most people the only concern for suitability of weapons is purely what they are chambered in, and whether or not it is feasible for a real life department to have that/that department has something similar.

if thats "over the line", then lets speak about another realistic aspect of firearms. handguns. they are the most difficult to use as you have the least support, hence why braces and stocks were made for pistols to begin with. how come, most of the recoil, especially seen in the newest FN 509, its purely vizual? its literally just a point and click game with that gun. unlike, the g19. m11. which actually have recoil both vertical and horizontal and does take time and practice to get used to and use efficiently. i thought this game was meant for the adult audience not kids who dont understand recoil impulse cause they played CoD and GTA5 all the time
Are you forgetting we’re playing as SWAT, to my knowledge Judge is the only confirmed federal with the LSPD, there could be more characters that have either a military background or came to LSPD from another department

guns barely have recoil, I’ve shot 9mm and it kicks up a bit and it’s easy to get the sights realigned
Tbh this game has the best gun play out of all the major titles
i mean, if were gonna be comparing oranges to apples then why arent all guns with zero recoil, always pinpoint accuracy, just shoot and wait for your sights to align again. there is no consistency in this game, some guns kick more in ways that make no sense and some kick less that make even less sense, some have recoil control with your mouse some dont like the 509.

trained or not, i do not believe any human, especially the size that our characters are would be able to ENTIERLY eliminate recoil. rifle, pistol or otherwise.
im sure there are people who are close to eliminating recoil, given training, body mass, gun customization, surroundings and all. but never zero i believe

body mass does affect some recoil but technique and training is definitely more important
now we are speaking just recoil mitigation i believe, but what about the projectiles? are they actually hitting the target? and if so how tight is the grouping. for example, Lucas Botkin, former CEO of T-rex arms (not sponsored to use him as example), he is slim and tall, has good recoil mitigation but his groups are quite wide from what i've at least observed here and there
or, PewView, another dude with a fast trigger and good recoil control. he actually hits his targets but i never got to see his groupings. although, he is a bit bigger than Lucas in terms of muscle mass

yes, its technique. but judging the technique Judge uses versus these two i've seen judge just holds the grip with both hands like its a stick.

it is. dont matter if you got a Nasa PC or not, if the game is unoptimzed use a samsung fridge with the screen or a nasa pc it will run all the same (if game is unoptimized)

Lucas does USPSA so grouping matters a bit but it’s not very important, and PewView looks to not do competition shooting

Ironically USPSA shooters who attend marksmanship classes tend to not do very well

still, compare the recent video where PewView teaches how he manages recoil versus how Judge, (AKA, you) in RON holds the pistols. like hell, he doesnt even have the thumb over the frame following the slide which i imagine does quite a lot. again, i havent shot a gun myself so im talking bullshit i've learned from others, just a note. but i imagine even that small detail of the thumb parallel the slide does a lot, leaning in with the gun as you stance. judge? bro just stands upright holding the gun like its a dog toy hes about to throw. if the main character we play as is a trained elite unit of the LSPD, at least simulate it.
