For example SWAT 4 has flashlights that lower morale and make suspects more likely to surrender, however a bug with how flashlights are handled in engine will make them pass through levels (atleast theoretically) infinitely
there's some other games that do flashlight disorienting but they dont come to mind

Every mission I was in. Including when my friends attempted to join me in a multiplayer lobby without "join modded lobbies" on. I had to uninstall the game and delete every single ready or not file on my PC to fix it
if it haoppens in every mission just run the game in safe mode

I had a similar issue with a broken mod on an earlier build of the game. So, the game saves mod data in a secret folder somewhere in appdata. The mod.io data is also somewhere there. There's a program somewhere in the game files, or used to be, that can automatically find and delete those hidden files, but it's been literal years and I can't remember where to find it. Unfortunately, all I can say is to Google it and see if you can find an answer that addresses that point.
Mod.io is awful. If you have anything through that, it's a nightmare to eliminate.
I tried it once when it was first introduced, and that was what caused the issue, I believe.

Yeah I also stumbled upon the so called folder a couple times somewhere in the app data directory. Also can confirm, I never used mod.io but still keep seeing the modio folder in my mod folder reappearing even though I keep removing it 🤣

It's not necessary to use less-lethal weapons, you can arrest few suspects alive while using lethal guns just fine
Some missions will stress them a lot though even with arrests due to the nature of the mission

What's your preferred pick for lethal runs specifically ironman aspid?
I ran with 1 armour, 1 nutritionist, 2 veterans for the most part
Sometimes 1 armour, 2 nutritionist, 1 veteran
Before LSS i used 2 intimidators and 2 pacifiers with taser only as a no damage taken build on most missions
But standart build is 2 negotiators 1 armorer and 1 nutritionist
I almost always just went to quick play for S rank runs tbh xD
But this is what I used for ironman
With lethal ofc
S ranking was easier than full lethal since suspects do not shoot you
Until stress hits threshold
But now shooting from taser count as gunshot 
But for ironman I didn't wanna risk it with less lethal cos eh you know
So lethal felt safer

Lower risk but slower (non-lethal) or higher risk but faster (lethal)

I remember doing the hanged man achievement, ran out of taser ammo and flashbangs for the last suspect and I beat it by cowering in a corner with my shield and yelling at him until he ran out of ammo and surrendered
For that one I literally do nothing except telling the AI what to do lol
I just spammed flashbansh for them

I also feel like suspects just penetrate cover consistently more than I can, regardless of weapon and ammo type.
They have the same pen as you, but unlike the player they can stick their guns inside the wall, so they won't even need to pen it to hit you 
Tho you can do the same but only for pistols and some smgs
I can check the replay in a couple minutes lemme finish this run
most likely thing is the ai stuck his gun into the wall
hopefully the replay saved, I restarted the mission right after that instead of finishing it, otherwise I just have a clip from my pov again

A game with pretty deep mechanics yes but it could just be internally marked as just "metal" so it functions as any other metal wall there is
It's not steel but aluminum iirc, so any ammo with armor pen class 1 will go through it

Some walls in game can look like made of concrete but they actually made of plaster or just using "default" material stats, so even 9mm will pen it

It's not really that deep, you just don't know what some wall is using for a material stats, so it's can look like solid concrete or steel
pretty sure you can get a ricochet on sand
Like I said, you cant really tell what surface is made of in game unless you spend a lot of times testing each of them and editing material/ammo stats

I think I should try docks next run, I faced quite a lot of gunfire in both Loading Bay and Main Entrance double C2 breach
main entrance is kinda hit or miss, cos there's so many angles to cover once you step inside

loading bay is closest and fastest, but doesnt really give you alot of options to where to go, because the path is pretty linear from that point
thats why I like docks, you can choose where to go -> ground floor or first floor
or even a little bit of both and even clear the hardest rooms first
so even if you die, you waste way less time overall

As Aspid said, but for maps with high suspect count, the M32A1 launcher might struggle with not having enough ammo, but I guess with a full squad of swat AI, it can be doable

yeah that's what I took most of the time, still not enough on some maps
especially on Hard, since suspects get up for the 2nd or 3rd time much more frequently than on Standard due to stun duration etc.
especially when you can't just use arrest cancel in the heat of the moment cos you're still trying to secure the room

m320 is only usable with breaching or the deploy command and essentially ends up playing the same as flashbangs for ai

i guess when they say "clear.... one armed contact" when they first say clear they mean the doorway (if they have a trap or not)
yea, I think there's a sequence to how they phrase it, first its whether there is a trap and then whether there's suspects/civilians

ye sometimes I like to open the door very slightly further than the peek position (by pushing very slowly with my body) so I can throw it easier and safer without fully opening the door

My bots wear multicam and only get B
light armor with steel plates (sometimes front only, sometimes front & back) is my go-to
My bots use M32A1 Flash and clutch on S runs
What's better, dying in 11 shots of 5.56 with ceramic vs 31 with steel
