The AI in general acts inhuman. I am spotted through solid wall here. If you squint real hard, you can barely see the top of the suspect's head, yet it's enough to establish a line of sight, and the suspect immediately identifies me as SWAT operator through the wire-mesh window that far away.

I actually finished SWAT4 DLC campaign just now. There's definitely some design tricks that could be carried over for better experience.

Like one thing I noticed, that levels in SWAT4 respected (with one exception) player vision. There are nearly not as many opaque windows / objects that suspects can see through. And if there are (Like in the Stetchkov Syndicate warehouse level lobby windows), the AI can't see through them even if you as a player can. It seems the design errs on the side of caution instead of giving the suspect insane vision.
