Sandstorm guns have more recoil for sure due to PvP and balancing etc while Ron guns generally have the same
And this is just me but in sandstorm guns donāt feel as punchy compared to Ron
Like in Ron a single bullet feels like it actually has strong impact
But in sandstorm it feels kinda spongey on some guns

Sandstorm is deffo more fun and easier to get into since it requires less thinking and strats. You can mess around more there whether itās PVE or PVP
I dunno about that, in ron you don't have smokes, technicals, classes which have special tools, a loadout point system, weight, suppression
The attachments in ron barely make a difference where in insurgency they can basically make or break your loadout
But Sandstorm teaches you the basics very well compared to Ron

if i remember correctly, the dpad handles things like nods and flashlight, but it also differs if you're aiming, so you can put nvgs on when not aiming, and also aim canted while holding aim, all using the same dpad

Very good way of doing it iād say. Weapon ready position kinda got me confused because i donāt understand how theyāll let you choose between weapon up and weapon down with one button.

it's basically a toggle thing, like in keyboard, space to ready down, then space again to ready up

cycle through the ready stance? it only has two states no? lowered and ready, the position of pointing up and pointing down depends on your settings, but otherwise doesn't add anything

Despite my teams countless attempts on both, we are always missing some evidence, even when there is none to be found after multiple full building searches

No, twisted nerve can just spawn evidence that you will never be able to collect

If you're crashing with a corrupt data error, it's likely due to your mods. Conflicting mods usually donāt cause crashes, but outdated ones can. To avoid issues, make sure mods are updated on or after December 10, 2024, though some exceptions work if updated on or after July 23, 2024.

this is likely getting changed, DLC2 changed the helmet/accessory options to be split up

tazer is great with it's long and guaranteed stun, but yes, suspect morale can be funky
(also the tazer has a special, extra strong melee effect, so make use of it when possible!)

if you use canted sight frequently rn quite sure f90 in game is longer than g36
the gun model/ barrel length while aiming has a significantly more clear cut impact when you use canted sight; g36 canted sight is not usable at long range while most rifles in this game you can still use it even if you have to adjust your aim a bit
scars and fal for example have a very great time with canted sight (albeit they have crap recoil so have to play single shot), bc they have long barrel and their gun model is fairly clean when canted
will probably add this to the wiki, there's a value for it somewhere, I just don't have it on hand
@jolly verge re: fandom wikis. long story short: reached out to admins, ~~most ~~ all are inactive and agree with a port. a lot of orphaned articles and outdated/speculative info. wiki.gg offers a better foundation in terms of templates, a fresh start, and isn't riddled by ads

TLDR, just use ceramic armor. Steel is both heavier and less effective in the current patch. (this should be fixed with the console update, in theory)

I mean, to be honest, what's considered weird in a city where every week where's some shady ass classified fed activity and at least 5 local terrorist organizations has to be fucking crazy

They have trash accuracy and usually wait to start blasting

Lethal Obsession isn't really that difficult, but when I was first playing the game, I hated the fucking mission because I didn't realize I could check for traps because in my head I thought the traps were activated by opening the door itself through attachment to the handle and not tripwire. I felt like a fucking moron when I realized I was wrong

There are times where the suspects stay in their rooms and are good boys, and others where a mob pushes me
the 3 lethal obsession dudes are still the most accurate suspects in the game and aim exclusively for upper chest/head
you WILL die in straight gunfights in like 2 frames sometimes
they are wildly above the skill gap of every other suspect

In my defense, I just thought if someone trapped their cabin for a last stand against police they'd connect grenades to the doorknobs with strings as opposed to tripwire on the ground

All it told me was that there were traps, they didn't tell me how to actually be cautious, and I ran into difficulty because I visualized different methods of traps than were present on the map. I learned where they were when I started using the mirror to find them and noticed they weren't actually above me
And even then, learning how to disarm them took me a while because I was worried if I peeked a trapped door it might still set off the explosion. I might just be stupid, though

Tbf they'd be more of a gimmick to mess with new players, because one of the first lessons I learned about this game was that I should not immediately enter a room upon opening it

Poor idea to do anyway since there are people with guns with a 100ms reaction time (most of the time)

A lesson I still have not learned is that just because I open a door and aim my sights on it does not mean I have faster reaction time than a suspect with eyes on the back of their fucking head
I feel like on certain maps the current suspect AI makes sense, and on others they should really tweak morale
Groups like The Hand, Left Behind, etc being ready to die and just gun you down makes sense
Other times I find myself wondering why I feel like I'm fighting in a war zone with the limitation of I can not shoot first

Being able to take like one extra headshot doesn't really matter much when most suspects shoot you center mass

Isn't the trade off something like ceramic will absorb 4 shots completely, shatter, and then absorb 40% of the damage compared to steel which will never shatter, absorb 70% but never completely absorb, but make you move slower and will make you bleed more often because of spalling? (and also damage your team)

well you generally have to play poorly or be unlucky for it to happen
like YOU shouldn't be diving back behind walls when aggressing, so it's usually the suspect strafing into cover that does it
unfortunately because of how active suspects are in moving around when in combat they often do wallbang, since they'll spot you, immediately start running and continue to track you and start firing through the walls
its not even like they're predicting where you go, no, that happens AFTER the 5 seconds of them magically guessing you're zig zagging behind the wall

Afaik, light armor and heavy armor, so long as they're the same material, offer the same protection. Are there any circumstances where you'd want protection on your sides over mobility and carrying capacity, and vice versa?
The issue void seems to be facing with face cosmetics (harhar) is clipping
The cosmetics like glasses don't "warp" to match the face and they don't have separate glasses models to match each face which is what seems to be stopping them from adding masks
This also seems to extend to suspects since ones like in carriers of the vine that have body armour don't seem to fit the armour model

I should say now, what you should prioritise is all the core systems first. All the visual stuff that players will see should be least priority. Because you will want to change stuff a lot during the timeline when making the map. So do all background related stuff that players wonāt notice.
