Someone who realized I had not removed their secondary ammo from their loadout when they killed LAST SUSPECT with their sidearms, because they couldn't hit him with pepper due to his torso being covered by a bag of gravel.
The alternative likely scenario is that the empty their pepperball mags by shooting at walls, and then just stand in the open to be magdumped by the enemy š

Tbh S ranking now is so much easier than when I tried at launch. With the AI actually giving you a fighting chance in terms of aim and reaction time it's a lot easier imo

Though some people would argue that the developers seemed "lost" in their direction. They thought adding those weapons that are usually impractical in CQB and cosmetics that are old school isn't a thing that's well executed for this game.

However, aside from the cosmetics, I really don't mind, as I do like the more variety for the weapons.
G3 and M14 were weapons from the PVP era that people begged to come back, these are new models and sounds of course
I believe the devs call their cosmetic set design retro modern or somethin like that
I don't really like old gears in modern setting when the lore actually allows the character you control have access to more advanced gears.
But I can see people who wanted retro gears for their liking and with their own headcannon of why they're using it.

ROE is strict, you can't shoot someone with lethal force unless they're an active threat (which, in game terms, means "their weapon is raised / they are in the process of raising their weapon")
LTLs are less strict, you can use those on anyone non-compliant (holding a weapon, or a civilian who isn't surrendering)
his weapon was literally raised, its just the animations are totally unsynced with the "active threat" mechanic
also ROE should not be this strict
that's a bug then, if a suspect has their weapon raised they should (per the game mechanics) be a valid target
i think its the new animations. a lot of them have the suspects pointing their guns at you but it somehow doesnt count as a threat

there is a new 'slow surrender' animation that has the target veeeery slowly put down their weapon, and the barrel is facing you during parts of that

I got the achievement to arrest him before the order is given today, something I noticed was while we C2 breached the floor he was on, I dont believe we fired a shot until we got to Sah'id. I breached the middle floor C2 and bang, arrested some suspects without a shot. Then got to him at the back of the boat. His guards had holstered weapons and didnt appear to be in an "alert" stage. I'd say once they hear detectable shots Sah'id gets antsy and the timer begins. Think he's always on the upper/middle floors also.

we tried alot of strats
in theory you could use non-lethal, make them surrender, then use the move to command to one by one move suspects together to one single area with someone looking after them, then when you get 15, you cuff them all simultaneously or just incap them. important to not arrest them before otherwise it counts as apprehending them. it's like semi-impossible to pull off but in theory it could work? it'd take maybe 20-30 mins of setup
and probably a big team
use non lethal for them to surrender then move them to 1 spot
Am I the only one who thinks that the newly added yielding animation is wat too dumb? I mean, who point their gun at officer when they are willing to yield? The animation is suicidal. I'd say that VOID went too far to make things feel intense when it's not. Cuz I'm taking the animation as assaulting, not yielding.

When you point your gun at an officer, it's not matter of faking or not anymore. Ask every single one of police officers that if a gun is pointed at them, what would they do? I'd fire my weapon right away.

An inventory system is an update to AI in general, but something like falling back and rallying up would be things that you would only expect some enemies to do.
A gang banger or addict isn't exactly going to have the sense to retreat.
Hopefully we'll also see some missions make use of the inventory system in the future (missions like the coyote tunnels come to mind as places where enemies wouldn't exactly be carrying long guns all the time)

Mk17 does have more horizontal recoil than I expected.
That said, I'm happy they made the 7.62 feel like they're actually guns you have use differently and not just pull down more.

It's just only vertical recoil, smfb and vertical/th grip reduce it by 50%, wont require you move mouse down too much
None of rifles have horizontal recoil actually, only few smgs

Angle recoil + arm injury will make gun bounce like it's have horizontal recoil, but in fact it's still has 0

The only outlier in terms of felt recoil for me is the GA416.
Damn thing feels harder to control (or comparable, at the bery least) than the .300s and 7.62s.
New G3 and G51 fully negate angle recoil in ADS mode btw, even with arm debuff

416 is just a bad weapon; has no having that much kick with 5.56.
I feel like the devs should really look at a balance pass on all weapons to make everything behave the way it ought to.

It's a coin toss on the secondary building if a suspect is behind a glass, which you can't even shoot through with less-lethal weapons.

@vast folio Sightlines are rough on Greased Palms. For some reason enemies stay beaded on you like the obstacles arent even there.

Yeah. It's the most unfun level to S-rank by far. Pure frustration.
The suspect AI when gassed behaves weirdly now. Well, more weird. You have to wait a long time for them to comply, but if you take your attention away form them, they recover fast into their retaliation mode, shooting you in the back.
It's only cause you knew it worked different.
That's causing a bit of an issue with the warehouse area, where the enemies are spread out. You can't afford to babysit one suspect, when 2 more are shooting you from further away.
If it was like that from the beginning we would just accept it as a game mechanic
And when they comply, they do a weird double-comply thing. They drop on their knees, but then instantly warp into their standing position, and then drop down again.

there are several weapon caches around the map where they can re-arm too
have u seen them go there after surrendering

Do any of you know how I can prevent the AI officers carrying ballistic shields from killing suspects? Not allocating any slots to secondary ammunition seems to still leave them with one magazine, which is enough to deny me the S-Rank
it shouldn't, removing all ammo does the trick for me
There are multiple missions I have on A+ instead of S due to this and playing trough them without ballistic shield will be rather annoying I feel. But I don't think it is a Bug because it persisted trough multiple mission tries / game sessions

I am also pretty sure you've gotta do Sleeper Agent solo. Other players and AI might have their separate timers

I find them pretty helpful but I also kinda harmonize with their movements. imo there's a reason it's "commander" mode. If you play them strategically and flow with them instead of trying to be the pointman it can work real well. but not everyone will want that and that's fine

The p90 can have extra swag because off the FiveSeveN but 5.7.28 is a pretty boring round
it hits harder than the mp7 as far as I can tell
disatvantage: its ugly
a mp7 witha aimpoint and a ir laser looks insanely good
mp7 does look really good
p90 just works though. so much capacity that you can full auto it without worrying about constantly reloading, the round hits hard, it's compact enough for anything. the reload is slow but otherwise it's prolly the most effective smg

Are they ever gonna add back in the M4 with carry handle? I see it in the armory and itās PALPABLE. I just want it for my Vietnam loadout is all. Theyāve done great with the game though it feels tense yet fair

I think we need... like.. more concrete stealth mechanics. and more explicit statement that the guy needs to be arrested first before he does something crazy
I tried to run non lethal, lethal (loud) and lethal (stealth) but Iām not having any luck
If I am getting A on 2/3 missions and just canāt get an A on the yacht thatās something wrong š
the MP5SD seems like it should be perfect for this mission but it doesn't really seem like the extreme quietness of that weapon makes a difference. I've stood around at spawn for a couple minutes and the order to execute civs is given anyway
maybe because of the helicopter I'm really not sure
