Maps like Greased Palms are genuinely frustrating with how big they are, to the point where the suspects will shoot you with pin point accuracy from across the way, while your officers won't even dare pull the trigger on a point blank target.

I think greased palms was overall just a bad idea from the start: have huge open sightlines with AI that doesn't even render far enough for you to fight on top of having to take a VIP alive that will happily shoot you before you can even tell what color his clothes have on the other side of the map

On top of the interiors with pixel-wide spots the AI can spot you and can instantly pathfind to shoot you in the head from

Atleast it's not 1.0 where they would shoot you through the peeks or even through the walls with full accuracy and damage

Honestly the idea of having to take someone alive being mandatory is dumb as is, especially because, much like Gerard, you end up having to deal with someone who very much will not be taken alive.

When it comes to aiming in this game it's really just looking straight since we're playing mostly inside buildings. When you work with cover and cleared space, you really only need to pay attention to what's in front of you. And if you're working angles you really don't need to move your mouse pointer much if at all

You're pretty much screwed up the moment you start and all you can do is make the damage as little as possible, and if any madman got an S on this mission I'm pretty sure they're superhuman

This was the first mission I completed on D after a long streak of A's and A+'s

It's extremely hard and unpleasant, but it's as expected for the subject matter

Just play the game to immerse yourself in the experience, following the sound of traveling gunfire to locate people is something that doesn’t really happen on other maps. If I wanted to rush the handful of spots I know enemies are I’d play counterstrike

Scoring is brutal too, I would understand losing the "all civilians secured" bonus, but -200 points for every dead civilian is very, VERY harsh, especially since you often can't do anything about it

you can't just command the SWAT AI from their cams like you can do in SWAT4 so yeah, they are pretty much useless in that mission

wonder why that feature still doesn't exist

you can't just split up two teams, meanwhile in coop everyone can clear out five rooms at once autonomously

time is very important in that mission, y'know

its hell in solo

really think it needs some balancing changes for quick play/commander mode or an ability to command the SWAT AI through their tactical cams OR make them actually able to autonomously clear entire zones like players can
