It used to be the old hotel map pre 1.0. Now itās The Spider, daytime, mostly interior, good amount of suspects. Just enough map to take seriously but not too big requiring laps around the place.

Iāve watched games transition between UE4 versions with more difficulties
but again there was a year of groundwork being done by our partners before the final step of the UE5 transition was made

S-vest only surrender when you are not close to them, so shoot less lethal and shout while keeping a distance between you and the suspect.

If you have wedges, wedge any point to the outside that you aren't going to be entering from

They said in the devlog that they won't be able to utilize any of the big features, it's mainly just to make development easier

You can't save anything in default loadout, it's permanent in case you need reset loadout from modded weapons and etc.

Is the move to UE5 going to bring some lighting/shadow improvements with lumen or Ray Tracing? I feel the lighting in this game is very inaccurate and makes it look very gamey. No shadows under objects, and corners/edges with no light reaching it are often lit when they shouldn't be, and other issues. This game could be the poster child for Ray tracing as indoor games often look the best as there is often plenty of light sources and reflections and shadows.
The devs didnt mention anything about Lumen, however ray tracing might still happen some time in the future since they did have a promotion with nvidia back in the day

as you know when you shoot a suspect in the ehad with a shotgun their arms and legs go a little stiff and they fall in a weird pose
if someone fakes a death they will (almost always) have that same ragdoll effect
Itās pretty simple actually. Suspects that are actually dead will have a pool of blood form under them always. Suspects that are incapacitated will not, and suspects that are faking it will not. Suspects faking death will always have the dead icon over them instead of the incap one, and swat ai teammates will tend to yell at them to surrender instead of cuffing them
regardless, just cuff the body
That too, with most of the mechanics, if youāre being thorough youāre unlikely to fall victim to any pitfalls the game offers.

The 7.62x51 NATO is a cartridge that is best suited for long distance engagements against opponents with strong body armour, using it in cqb as a swat team is utterly overkill and I love it to death in this game because of that.
.300 blackout is a subsonic round that has more in common with 5.56x45 and is best used for suppressed rifles since it makes less noise when travelling through the air.

The supporter's edition was, as the name implies, meant to support the developers. The free DLCs are the devs showing their gratitude, it wasn't meant to save you money in the longrun
Theres also the more frequent updates during early access and exclusive items
supporter edition also gave you access to updates prior to public release
there false promised with the supporter edition, said that we'd get early access to new features, that only happened once, like or not they were selling a product in the shape of a "donation"

Some mods are host side and some are client side. Client side are things like guns and appearance mods. Host side are like in game menu which allows the host to run 5+ man lobbies or ai mods

they're busy bug-fixing what I'm sure is an absolute disaster of weird errors resulting from porting it and probably won't address anything in the current version - although it would've been helpful of them to mention that months ago
i don't disagree - but I think the goal is to improve some of the performance issues they've had and their current UE version doesn't support - i don't think they'll address small things until then in any case
the biggest thing I think that's missing from the game is a kind of difficulty slider system to adjust it - it seems 50% of complaints for the game are about performance and the other 50% are for the AI
enforcing that there's "one correct difficulty" to play the game is kind of boneheaded
i personally love to be abused by the game and seek out mods to make the AI more cheating and unfair, but its also clear that this isn't a commonly shared idea haha

anyways my biggest regret about moving to UE5 will be losing out on mods (in the short-term anyways), as once I beat the game on ironman (which took up the bulk of my playtime) then exploring mods is what really gives it some extra replayability - once you know how the levels are laid out it becomes quite a bit easier

i think i pretty much have: character skins, weapon skins, voice mods, AI mods, maps
all mods are breaking as soon as the update drops
thats why they are putting more support towards modding and future proofing tools for ue5

kinda sad, there was some holdout mods that still worked pre 1.0, new mods created post 1.0, some abandoned.

An external studio will port everything in fear of one of the depircated features being hard coded into something still in use

From the little digging I have done, it could, but if they want to keep the same minimum requirements, it won't change much graphically. It mainly lets them do more optimization and use tools UE5 has

You get S-rank (highest possible rank) by getting all civilians, all suspects (yes, all suspects) and all officers out alive. Colleting all weapons all objectives and soft objectives etc.
Then you get an S-Tier. Usually requires you to play non-lethal.
