There are explosive hazardous elements near the meth lab yes, I think itās one or more of the tanks
They tend to go off if I throw a grenade into the room, but I have yet to see anyone be harmed by them so Iām not sure if they actually serve any true hazard.

Once checksum is disabled the mod mismatch has not really done much except silly buggers when someone has a weapon mod that someone else does.

you have them with you in practice mode. I imagine they were planned to be part of the story but they ended up being replaced by the generic goons you get on commander mode

Heavy armor only covers extra parts of your torso, ceramic armor stops any hit untill it breaks and steel armor adds a damage reduction onto any hit it takes

Light/Heavy armour only change the coverage areas
the level of protection is dependant on the plates
I personally prefer Light Armour, Ceramic plates, Front+Back coverage
You're highly mobile and decently protected against shots you weren't planning to get hit by

There is a value called stress that increments every time a loud sound occurs, once it gets past a certain value all suspects will be on high alert

In the old builds every unit had their own model of balaclava so it doesn't clip with their head

No doorknob traps, all traps are on the bottom of the door currently
They're gonna all reside on the bottom of the door but you should check where the wire is
They removed it due to calls made by their "police consultants", there's even a gif of the rework from the old builds
Most likely what happened is that the trap was in the same room you were, or the opposite and you did not see

So you gotta find all four and take them down extremely quickly
first run had a shot within like 3 minutes of the start, second run didn't have a shot for the whole thing
I take my sweet ass time and it was fine

Elephant, best way to clear it solo S-Rank is to split your teams and have red team clear/secure rooms on the ground floor while you move upstairs and clear that with blue team
I've found the best luck spawning at the (north?) exit, not the main entrance, clearing up to the stairs - then one team clears the main entrance, while the other team comes with me and clears upstairs
Use the AI to secure suspects too, ignore securing civilians until all suspects are secured and bombs are secured
But if the AI secure suspects then you can keep pushing through/clearing areas faster than them, don't forget to listen out for suspects - Elephant suspects are all male voices, they'll try to bait you by shouting "help over here" or something like that, but they won't sound super panicked
Or just go in a public lobby it works alright

Better enemy behavior + swat and suspects swat AI overhaul (Stand-alone) is a pretty good combo imo

Can they? I've been playing the game for a few years now and I've never seen them open locked doors. Testing to see which doors are locked is actually the best strat to see which doors you need to wedge. Afaik, locked doors can't be opened by suspects, so there's no need to wedge them.
they won't passively wander through locked doors, but once alerted, suspects can knock open doors to flank players
there is also a behavior where they will stand by closed doors and listen for noise, which if they hear you, will come barging through. locked or not
i wish i can play ready or not rn, but the fact the optimization is so bad makes it impossible

Hold shift or whatever your slow walk button is bound to, open the communication menu (default middle mouse click) and hold shift while you issue a command
Once the command is selected while holding shift, itāll be a āqueuedā command
then hit execute when youāre not holding shift, and the AI teammates will execute it

currently been using Astral's Revamped and its pretty good. A lot easier if you just shoot everyone so its good to actually try and take people in even when using lethals. Also makes suspects actually hide in closets and under stuff unlike their vanilla behaviours
very different to vanilla tho since its intention is to make suspects a bit more believable. So it reduces the amount on some maps along with some even being unarmed depending on the level and their overall will to fight is more varied but generally lower.

If certain doors cannot be peaked it's a design fail of that door not of the grenade placement.
There are also doors that are currently too thick and while you can peak them you cannot see the trap.
But for those things the devs should fix the specific doors not make trap placement deterministic

Doc says that the suspects would shoot them if they notice we are here, but they run and gun you specifically at most

I love Sins
Feels pretty polished to me outside of the glitchy rain going through the ceiling lol. The almost quiet atmosphere with the occasional distorted choir adds a bit.
Gameplay wise the whole game is very samey and the instanely open nature of some maps like postal and port dont work well with the gameplay style. Sins of the farther I unironically think has a really good design asside from that big room with the balcony and the random sight line blockers that make flashing rooms pretty bad when using friendly ai
Just wish there was some more space outside on the balcony for some rainy combat
maps that let you properly roomclear and section off areas are the easiest it's true, but it also has a lot of long halls that cannot be easily contained until you work through them
The rooms are also pretty challenging compared to other maps. There isn't a lot of wiggle room for entering most of the rooms, and the geometry of the rooms means it's easy for suspects to setup traps for you. Add to that the rooms having multiple entries in some, they can run and flank you
Worst map in my onion is relapse tbh. Far too big for how many suspects they are, aswell as how dangerous they are on that map. Just extremely tiring to complete

There's NOTHING going on. No urgency, no secret service operation, cuff civilians and shoot the bad guys that are standing still all over the rooms that are hard to get to, and ask your team to mirror every damn door for the guy to get stuck in single file line for some reason. No suspects surrender at all, unless you incapacitate them or mag dump their feet. They are wearing tuxedos and carry different issued weapons that aren't tied to each other in any way. There is 0 noise except the choir that loops every 30 seconds while you clear rooms trying not to blow up.
The overall vibe of the mission is the department sending you to crash a very classy hold up by your own rogue guys that seem to have a bad case of brain damage as they do nothing until they see you, at which point it's "empty mag on that swat dude's arms"

Idk how I feel about paying 60 bucks for a point and shoot game that offers minimal planification needs when every map is the same mission on a different playing field. The use of AI to dictate what hardships are presented to you when actually playing for the most part washes down a lot of the potential the game could have.

maps are mostly decent, only issues I usually have is being too open or big at times and the details of the world outside of the operation zone lacking, just feeling like the entry team and TOC are the only police present.
Biggest issue is AI, its very predictable and too aggressive most of the time, never using hiding spots like closets or under beds and always preferring to engage as opposed to running away even when in disadvantageous situations.

Stepping out of AI realm, would be bad to improve LPVO optic? No one uses it due to challenges. There are 2 challenges: only 1 magnifiactin level. IRL the beauty of Low power variable optics or LPVOs is that you can go from 1x (so almost as good as red dot, to high power 4x, some 8x depending on model) Second challenge is size of scopes. They are so small is like looking through a insulating tube. Gonna post screenshot for comparison for example wit Arma reforger.

How to fix it? Make use of magnification. Custom power - 1 power (red dot style) or now high power (4x). If you wanna go all out, you could make actual rotation that adjust zoom - perfection
Secondly - make optic viewport bigger. If you have bigger picture you see more. We are not looking through tiny hose, but through a scope.

you don't aim down sights fully, you're eyeballing the scope which makes it look like a very small magnifying glass with paint on it
